02/10 Game of Thrones- What was he watching?

The following appears under the Tyrion story line, about half way through the book.

"A Lannister always paid his debts. Kurleket would learn that someday, as would his friends Lharys and Mohor."

You have to wonder what GRRM was watching just before he wrote this, as he didn't make too much effort to disguise the names of these three characters.

Kurleket, Lhayrs and Mohor - Curly, Larry and Mo, THE THREE STOOGES!

I think a lot of that goes on if you know to look for it -- one of Michael Moorcock's Hawkmoon/Runestaff books has four ships whose names are very thinly-disguised Beatles.
