If you had to choose between Rose and Sydney who would you choose and why?

A lot of people decided to read Bloodlines because they're huge fan of VA including myself but I have to say I wasnt that impressed with the way Richelle Mead is dragging it. I personally think she should've either continue with VA or just put an end to it. I like Sydney but I LOVE Rose. Just wanted to know you guys opinion.

Rose is the perfect heroine ans I haven't read Bloodlines so I can't judge Sydney really, but from what I know of her so doesn't seem all that interesting.

Rose of course! She's hella badass and bitchy when she's gotta be. I haven't even read Bloodlines yet but I didn't love Sydney. I've heard so much about it so I'm not that motivated to read about her boringness! lol

yeah I wish I really hadn't read bloodlines I mean VA had an awesome ending Rose and Dimitri got together Lissa became the queen and Christian and she was a couple obviously but now it's all complicating especially seeing it all from a different perspective( which I mean as to say from sydneys POV) seems very dull not to mention boring Sydney's character seems the type to be doing watever is expected from her which we can probably find in other YA series heroines

So, as much as I like Sydney, as I like a lot of other characters from book series, I love and admire Rose' attitude, her strenght, and courage and her fearless way of saying things.
Sometimes she's reckless, sometimes she's even a bit immature, but I just love how strong and realistic she is.

Rose! I like Sydney but I love Rose. There's no kissing whatsoever in Bloodlines. Sydney's sort of stuckup. What's up with that? I can forgive if Adrian and Sydney start having something hot but I'm always going to be a Rose and Dimitri kind of girl. They have flame.

Everyone's saying Rose, but personally I don't know. If you'd asked me like 6 months ago I would definitely say Rose too, but then I've read Spirit Bound and Last Sacrifice and I hated her a little for what she had done to Adrian. And Sydney is so uptight, but then at the end of Bloodlines she's more relaxed and a more easy-going than before. So I really have no idea, but I still love both of them with or without their flaws. :)

Nusa- I agree with not liking Rose in Spirit Bound and Last Sacrifice. I didn't like the way she was treating her bf and all her friends.

Until I read "Bloodlines", I'm choosing Rose. I'll update my response after I read the book.

I hated Rose and loved Sydney. Rose was stupid and bitchy, acting like a spoiled teen and acting on impulse, whereas Sydney thought things through and cared a little more about the consequences. Rose was a careless party girl and Sydney was an understanding book worm. So, yeah, Sydney all the way.

I like Rose in the books, but in real lfie I'd prefer to know Sydney. Rose would scare me too much.

Sydney just seems too boring for my taste. Rose kicked some real ass, was really witty and didn't seem to go with the crowd. Sydney is just too mainstream.

Sydney, not just because she is smart (which I consider a greater advantage than Rose's strength), but also because she is breaking all of the prejudices in her life and changes her beliefs which I can relate to. Rose is a typical teenage girl who has a crush on older guy. She has nothing I could or I ever would admire, she just lacks of individuality.
P.S. I don't have anything against VA, I liked the book, but not Rose.

They are both awesome characters, but I would go with Sydney, because Rose's strength, in my opinion, comes from her psyical strength (I am not saying that it is her only strength! But her strength is connected to her psysical strenght)
Sydney's strength comes from her intelligence, and I think that is more important, and more identifiable for me.
Besides that Sydney reminds me alot of myself. Often I would think like she does in a given situation, but act differently. Sometimes, though, I would act like her, but not have the same thought behind the action.
My last reason is, I have been on Team Adrian since Rose first met him, in Frostbite! And since Adrian loves her, how could I not? :D
