Now, I've forgotten why the double spacing happens... I think it is because you have an extra (blank) space before the last less than sign and the /pre>

I know it's been a while, but I have a question relating to this. Is there a way that I can change the font of this so it doesn't always look so stark? Ive changed the font on my notebook program but it doesn't seem to make a difference...Any ideas?
Not as far as I can see, CaroB. What I've looked up says this:The < pre> tag defines preformatted text.
Text in a < pre> element is displayed in a fixed-width font (usually Courier), and it preserves both spaces and line breaks.
This is some text! This is some text!
This is some text!
See, I just entered the code for different sizes, colors, and fonts above and they all came out the same.
Sure, CaroB! I know they are talking about giving us the ability to use different color fonts. That would be neat. ☺
Yeah! I think it would be simple commands like color="green" color="blue" color="red" -- but that would be enough to make me happy!

SPACES
& is the symbol for an ampersand. If you wish to indent a line five spaces (or however many you want) type in:
ammpersandnbsp;ampersandnbsp;ampersandnbsp;ampersandnbsp;ampersandnbsp;
Just replace the word ampersand with the symbol &
Understand?
COLUMNS!!!
Want to make columns?
Type in the less than sign <
Then pre
Then type in a greater than sign >
Then put in your tabbed columns you have cut and pasted from WinWord or whatever word processing program you have. Don't have one? That's ok, a copied tab from one of the column below will work. Just put your cursor up there on the right hand side of Megan and hold the left mouse key down until it turns blue (while moving it). Once you have grabbed the tab, then paste it in your comments.
After you have built your columns, end with a less than sign <
The a forward slash /
Then pre
Then type in a greater than sign >
All done!
