Cedric led her to where the other couples were, swaying to the music slowly. "So, uh, tell me about yourself.."
"Yes..." she said sorta timidly, a lot of people teased her calling her a know-it-all. For the most part she had managed to deflect the accusations...
*Rose* wrote: "Cedric smiled gently, "that's cute"""You think so?" she asked, surprised and relieved.
((kk)) Cedric tried to put on a good show, but all he could think about was the boy that had been dragged away. I want to make a difference, he thought determined.
Katoptris wrote: ""Maybe you can do both?" James suggested. "You know, be a nurse or lawyer or something, but still be a photographer. Or you could even...""Maybe," Cassie twirled away from James once again, this time coming back dangerously close. "But I like to live life with a little excitement."
"I know what you mean," James said. "But I'd love to be a geneticist. I love being able to predict things. Say, if I had kids with someone with dark hair, they most likely wouldn't have lighter hair like me. I like to guess those things."

Cassie asked, genuinely interested, she hadnt been the best at science.
((Yeah, I'm on, sorry, I was busy on other websites and being a hypocrite on Not Alone by making a character... or two...))
"Probably darker blonde or light brown hair," James answered. "More likely brown eyes, but blue or green would be possible, if I got the recessive trait from my mother, and it could be passed down. Green is a variation of brown, so that could happen, too, I guess. Or red hair, but that's a variation of blonde and more unlikely."

"Wow, see now most of that went over my head, but you are way sexier than my science teacher so I was actually able to focus on you." Cassie laughed.
James laughed, but his ears turned a little red from blushing. "I'm not sexy, Cassie. But I'm glad you paid even a little attention."
Cassie bit her lip, she replayed what she had said in her mind. "Oh God, I'm sorry I didn't mean to say that out loud! Wait, not that I was thinking that or anything, I mean you are good-looking but like not that I think about it non-stop or anything..." She continued rambling and her blush was showing barely under her mask.
James smirked. "It's all right. I guess I am pretty sexy," he said, rubbing his chin in mock thought, "but no one's told me that before."
"Well more people should." Cassie mumbled quietly. She had completely exposed herself, and even with the mask on.
James smiled. "Thanks. And there's no need to be embarrassed, it's not like the whole world heard it."
"You were the only one that counted though, and you were the one that heard it." Cassie replied looking right into his eyes.
James smiled mischevously ((I have a feeling I spelled that terribly wrong... but hey, so what? This computer doesn't have spellcheck)). "If you want, the whole world could hear it, but that wouldn't help matters too much."
((RP @ Not Alone?))
((RP @ Not Alone?))
((Fo sure! ;) ))Cassie pressed a finger to his lips gently. "No, we don't need to let everyone else know I can't control my thoughts." And as she did this she wished more than anything that she would have used her lips to silence his own.
((you can see my characters and how hypocritical I can get when I'm real bored.. AND I'M OUT OF THAT TERRIBLE BEST WESTERN!))
James smiled. "I was kidding," he said, removing her finger from his lips.
James smiled. "I was kidding," he said, removing her finger from his lips.
Cassie gave him a scrutinizing look and thought for a moment, she kissed his cheek gently as she had earlier on this night. "Alright, I guess I believe you."((Huzzah!!))
((Yes... their pillows were HORRIBLE. They were like twice the height of a normal pillow and super stiff... at least I got the bed while my sister was stuck on the pullout sofa XD))
"You should," he said, and kissed her (on the lips, not the forehead or cheek or whatever.)
"You should," he said, and kissed her (on the lips, not the forehead or cheek or whatever.)
In her head Cassie was screaming Oh. My. Freaking. God. I'm kissing James!!, but on the outside she let her whole self relax and melt into him, her lips were careful and gentle against his.
((lawl... very descriptive...))
He pulled away. "Does that erase any doubt?"
He pulled away. "Does that erase any doubt?"
((Bahaha, it could have been worse. ;) ))Cassie blushed again. "Hmm, maybe... I'm still slightly on the border line about it." She smiled pretending like she actually had to think about it.
((...you're right. Remember that I'm thirteen, Sydney. I haven't lost innocence yet... ;) ))
James raised an eyebrow. "Do you need some reassuring?"
James raised an eyebrow. "Do you need some reassuring?"
((Haha yes :) but you have to remember at the moment you are seeing two 18 year olds... Hahaha :) ))"Maybe a little bit." Cassie smiled as she watched him.
((True. I have an 8 minute warning))
James sighed dramatically. "If I must," he said in mock exasperation. He bent down and kissed her again.

Cassie smiled against his lips, this time she wasn't as timid, though she still kept it clean. "Yeah I think I'm 100% on your side now."
James smiled. "Good. I thought you were going to need more convincing."
((Gotta go. :( ))
((Gotta go. :( ))
Cassie laughed. "Oh I'm sure you would have enjoyed the long and hard convincing process." She rested her head on his chest, listening to the gentle patter of his heart.((Aww :( good bye.))
Cassie smiled back up at him after a moment. "Wanna get a drink and maybe go somewhere slightly more private? I need in on a few plans of your's.."

Minerva could tell he was distracted but she didn't know whether to ask about it or not.
"Sure," James said, grabbing her wrist and leading her to the refreshments table. To any guard, it just looked like he was getting her punch, which he was, but he could also speak to her in private.
Cassie slid her wrist from his grasp and just took his hand. "This looks better." She smiled, it felt better too.
He smiled, and kept walking. She saw something out of the corner of his eye. "Is that... my brother? Doing the hokey pokey in the middle of the dance floor?" he asked in disbelief.
Cassie followed his gaze out and over towards the other places for dancing. "I'm not sure, what does he look like?"
*Rose* wrote: "Cedric looked down at Minerva. Wondering what she was thinking about, he arced his eyebrows."Minerva was looking down at her feet, since most of her thoughts revolved around Cedric she didn't want to make it obvious...
*Rose* wrote: ""What?" he lifted her chin gingerly, making her look up at him.""N-nothing..." she stuttered, blushing slightly.

(okay then...)
"Okay..." Minerva said shyly.
