This video started out as an exploration into the roots of morality, but since it's so widely believed that morality originates from a god, I figured I'd better shoot this fish in a barrel right now, so we can have a meaningful discussion later on. Look for the aforementioned video in the near future.

MadgeUK What a boring voice the narrator has! Good message but it has been better put elsewhere by the Four Horsemen I think.

i'd go further and say that morality preceded religion in all human cultures - however, many people do claim religion as the start of morality.

MadgeUK I agree Xox. Ancient people had to have morality in order to survive. Morals are survival skills, not religious precepts. They are part of the ancient The Golden Rule found in cultures all over the world.

It's pretty obvious to anyone interested in zoology that morality preceded religion; many other animal species exhibit morality in varying degrees, particularly social species.
