I would love a review if anyone has interest in reading a scifi novel. "Conduit: The Beginning" kicks off a new series involving an alien invasion. Beings from another world, having suffered greatly from their own society's war of science versus religion, have made their presence known and that their visit is not a peaceful one. With their race dying, they are running against the clock to certain extinction unless they act now and take control of the human population. However, they did not factor in Marc, an experiment from the past; half-human, half alien, whom they thought to be dead. Now, with the help of an unlikely cast of heroes, Marc must survive long enough to understand and control his abilities. If he does not succeed, humanity will be lost without him.

Alien invasions, huh? I'll jet over to Amazon and download a sample to see if it's something I'd like.
Thanks for letting us know about it! Don't forget, if you haven't done so already, to add your book to the club's bookshelf!

Thanks! I hope you find it interesting. I'll try to add my book now. I admit, I'm fairly new to Goodreads so I'm still learning the ropes. :)
If anyone here enjoys children's fantasy, may I offer my book: Alice Parker's Metamorphosis. The target audience is children of 10+, and it's 41000 words. I'll gladly email a copy if it would be of interest to you.
Oh - oh - a chance to get a review?! I'm all about that. For fans of contemporary fantasy that doesn't involve vampires or werewolves, I hope you'll check out the first few chapters of my book Firecracker. SAMPLE CHAPTERS ON AMAZON:
http://amzn.com/B007AW9700
If you like the sample chapters and are willing to give it a review, I'd be glad to email you a free copy (in ePub or Mobi format for you eReader folks). Just let me know.
Thanks!!!
Charles - If you don't have a specific time frame, I'd read/review it for you. Sounds like my kind of book!

Seems like an interesting book Mark. I'll have to put a reminder in my phone so I remember to pick up a copy.
I'd love some reviews for my book Quest. It's epic fantasy and details an ongoing battle between light and dark, carried primarily by one man and one woman. It has around 114,000 words, last I checked. Targeted for YA or adult. I'm planning for a free promo weekend on Amazon in May (more details later), but if you'd like a copy now, I'll gladly send you one. Formats available are PDF, .epub, and possibly .mobi.
Thanks!

My heart will always ultimately belong to epic fantasy. I would be happy to review it, although I can't promise a super fast turnaround right now. :)
I messaged you, Mia... thanks for your interest!
Charles - have finished Firecracker. Good job! I really enjoyed it! With regards to the ending...
(view spoiler)
Only saw a few minor things. Extra punctuation. "To" instead of "too". A lot of "?!?". Nothing major. I really enjoyed it!
So. Sequel??

I thought it was a good book as well Jeff. This is a talented group of authors here in the club.
Thanks guys! And Jeff, I'm looking forward to your review. YES, there is a sequel in the works and I will make sure my friends here on GoodReads get first dibs on it.
Hi all. I'm always looking for reviews and willing to hand out a free copy to interested readers. It's been pretty well received, but I never tire of getting feedback and learning what people take away from the story. The story is a very short (30,000 words) sci-fi/fantasy/satire about plants posing as humans to determine whether or not humanity deserves to continue as the dominant species on Earth. It's a fast read and not at all pedantic, despite sounding like it might be a heavy and dull subject.
It fills me with sadness to note that the book is available via e-reader only (preferably Kindle, Kindle app, or something similar), though I suppose I could always give you a phone call and spend a few hours reading it to you if all else fails.
I'd like to review that one. Plants pretending to be humans amuses me. Alas, it will take me a little longer to read in a Kindle format, since I have to read it on my computer. (My Sony only likes .rtf, .pdf and .epub) but if you don't mind my taking a little time, it sounds like fun. :)
Plants disguising themselves as humans? That's an interesting take.
If you're not interested in timelines, I'd be more than happy to read it. I have an iPad that has just about every reading app on it, including Amazon's Kindle app!

Mia have you looked at Calibre? Pretty sure that's the name anyway. It lets you convert ebooks into other formats like .mobi to .epub or vice versa. I've used it a few times and it worked fairly well although there are a few formatting hiccups occasionally.
That is an interesting concepts Sean. I'll have to take a closer look.

Okay Sean, that one's caught my attention too. I'd like to read that one. And I have a Kindle. Look forward to reading it.
Thanks, Mia and Jeff. I don't mind waiting at all. Just send a message to my goodreads account with the email you prefer to have amazon gifts directed to and I will have copies to both of you before you can... ah... think of a 10-digit prime number. Probably long before you can do that, actually.
Sorry to not include a thanks to you as well, Charles. I took too long typing out my response and trying to tie it up cleverly--my success was probably subjective. In any case, shoot me a message and I will get you a copy posthaste, along with a solid dollop of appreciation.
Scott: I think I did but I think that was the one that said you had to strip the DRM with a different program, and that program said it couldn't do it with the current version of the Kindle previewer, which would require more rigmarole to fix... and it started seeming easier to just read things on my computer. >.>Sean: Will do! Thanks.
Charles - Ok, got my review posted! I have it up at: Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, and Shelfari. Couldn't find it at iBooks or Smashwords.
Looking forward to the next one!

Jeff - your review on Goodreads added as a comment on your "review coming soon" message instead of posting as the actual review. I went to read it and got confused for a sec lol.
Ok, got it fixed. Apparently dumba$$ here put the review as a comment to my original "review coming soon" review. Lordy.
Comment deleted, review fixed! Thanks for letting me know, Scott!

Hey Everyone,I'd like to offer a complimentry copy of my new novel, "Red Leaves and the Living Token," to anyone interested in reviewing. I can get you a .mobi or epub file, if that works, a print copy if it doesn't.

Doctors tell Raj that his son Emret won't survive his illness. As Raj struggles to prepare himself and Emret for the inevitable, he's confronted by Moslin, his son's nurse, who’s been filling Emret’s head with fairytales about heroic quests and powerful disease curing miracles. Emret now thinks that all he has to do is find the mythical Red Tree from the nurse's stories, and he'll live.
In an attempt to protect his son from further emotional damage, Raj asks Moslin to stay away from Emret. He returns hours later to find them both missing.
Now, he has to dig into the loathed fairytales to figure out where they may have gone. He’d also like to know why he keeps blacking out and having visions of a temple on a mountain with a vat of glowing weapons, a vaporous black creature emerging from a lightning storm, himself in glowing armor leading an army, and the same mythical Red Tree hidden in a dense forest.
I really need reviews before next week because I am doing a promotion for my e-book on the 15th and 16th. My book is Mentality Listens. Of course I would love for you to purchase a copy through amazon here: http://amzn.to/IML5TH But if you really can't pay the $ 1.99 then I will give you a PDF version. This is for reviews for Amazon for my Kindle book. It is a very unusual poetry book written when I was in my worst pain imaginable, so let's just say it is not your average poetry. When some people think poetry, they get scared off. This was written by a former Marine and a disabled veteran, so once again, not your typical poetry. It is 68 pages, large print, very easy read. It is categorized under Inspirational.
Hi everyone. Need reviews for my sci-fi novel 'Even the dead dance to live'. Message me and I will send you a .mobi file, or a PDF if you prefer. If you like space thrillers with a lot of action, you may enjoy this one.
Even the dead dance to liveCallisto. Jupiter's second largest moon. Cold enough to suck the heat out of any pressure suit, and scoured by lethal levels of radiation every sixteen days as it orbits through Jupiter's magnetotail. Nobody in their right mind would want to live there. Work there, maybe. But live there?
But people do live there. Humanity built its first space city there. And for a while it looked like a good prospect. Mankind's stepping stone to the stars.
It's all gone wrong though. Civilization is crumbling. And the cycle of life and death is whirling faster than was ever intended. Survival is a delicate balancing act that requires soft and careful steps.
Enter Shakespeare Cruz, a man on the run from his own dark past. He doesn't do soft. And he's anything but delicate. He's got a price on his head, enemies on his tail and an ever tightening noose around his neck. He's got a warlord who wants him to keep his appointment with death and a ghost who wants him to fulfil an impossible obligation. It's not clear that either of them has picked the right man for the job.
The time has come for him to make his choice however, and he's got to make it fast. At stake is the soul of a city, the memory of a woman, and the life of one little girl.
Only one thing is certain - it's going to get ugly.
Hi folks,Thanks for offering to do reviews - we all know that as indie authors we need as much exposure as we can get! Allow me to introduce "Virtues of War" a military sci-fi thriller that is different from most mil SF in that it's all about the characters. Set far enough in the future to divorce itself from any politics of today, it explores the question: what really happens when young men and women see combat for the first time?
I served for 15 years myself, including two tours in the Middle East, but instead of writing about my own experiences, I made the book way cooler and set it in space! :)
You can find Virtues of War on Goodreads, learn more about it (and read a sample chapter) at www.virtuesofwar.com and if anyone would like to pick up a copy it's available on all the e-reader formats and in paperback form at www.chapters-indigo.ca
Many thanks!

I need more funny!Lately, I've apparently been on a comedy kick. I've read The Dark Lord's Handbook, Luna for the Lunies!, and The Speaker for the Trees. Apparently, I'm not done, 'cause I'd like to read some more like these. I'm a fan of satirical type stories, or First Person Sarcastic (like Basement Blues.
Anyone have a book like this they'd like reviewed? I do indie book reviews on my blog. (Or if anyone just has one to recommend...)

You might try my short story, Smite Me, Oh Dark One.
It sounds like just what you're after: a comedic story of an evil god written in First Person Sarcastic. It's free on Amazon, Smashwords, etc.
Set in the same universe is Klondaeg The Monster Hunter, a novella
Klondaeg is a simple Dwarf with a simple plan: rid the world of monsters. When he was a boy, his parents were killed by unidentified monsters, and he swore revenge against all of them. Armed with a talking battle axe with two personalities, Klondaeg travels the countryside, slaying everything from tiny werewolves to gold-devouring demons. He negates prophecies, disproves history, and even comes face to face with Acerbus, the god of darkness himself. But will he ever find the thing that killed his parents?
I'd be happy to send a review copy of the ebook.
It's me again. This time, I'm actually looking for reviews for my own work.I'm looking for reviews for "When Forever Died," which is the second book in my Adelheid series but it stands alone too. It's paranormal suspense, but for those who'll groan about more vampires (damn you, Stephanie Meyer), I've been told it's not like other paranormal stories and the main character isn't a vampire, so I hope some folk will give it a try. :)
"Forever is a long time.
The life of a hunter is a lonely one. Perhaps more for Dakota than others in her line of work. Not only is she better than anyone else at chasing down the things that go bump in the night, but her past chases her with the same tenacity.
She's built walls around her solitary existence and that's the way she likes it, but the past never sleeps. When she's hired to hunt an ex-lover for murder, it's just the first in a string of memories that will bring Dakota's past, present and future into a collision course.
And when she agrees to take on a second case and hunt down an Ancient, a vampire over one thousand years old, it unleashes circumstances onto that collision that will shake the foundation of everything she's built and force her, for the first time in a long while, to look to others.
Can she survive it, like she's survived these past four centuries? Or will the weight of it all finally crush her?"
Let me know if you're interested and I'll be happy to provide a free copy.
If anyone has written any bizarro or really out-there humor, I'm looking to review your work! Pop on by: http://voltairereviews.blogspot.com/

Hi Joe,
