How are you getting on with Artemis Fowl?

Thanks Jud!

Thanks Jud!

I explained that I had bought the eBook and thought it was reasonable they should GIVE me the paperback as it was just an older format of the same thing. The lady in Cancer research didn't seem to be able to grasp the idea.

Meant to say, Ive clicked it and plan on spending tomorrow afternoon sprawled on the couch reading it. If anyone would like to bring me chocolates and cups of tea while I read, you'd be most appreciated.

I think that the only way that Simon can fairly judge our recipe competition is to actually cook all the recipes! Then of course there will be quite a lot for one man and one cat to eat - so he can bring some out to you, Patti!! :0)

I wish I could remember who said that!"
It was Sir Thomas Beecham ;o)

20% into the book and I'm finding it a bit twee and fey and dare I say, derivative. However, onward and upward. I'm not disliking it shall we say.

Hope you all enjoy it.
I'm going to be missing this one too - but will read the discussions with interest. Enjoy.

I must admit I didn't get on with White Fang...I just wasn't in the mood for it.

Any minute now :)

Can anyone with the kindle version tell me if there are random symbols along the bottom of the page or anywhere? Its on my paper copy and i can remember decoding it all when i first read it... And the eternity code one as well. Oh what a wild child i was.
I loved the Golden Acorn Lorraine! I read it in one sitting and then went and downloaded the 2nd one Glasruhen Gate and read it in one go as well. 3rd one is out soon.

I must admit I never knew it was a code...I'll have to study them again now!

No Spoilers here please
(A spoiler is something about the plot that might spoil the story for someone who hasn't got quite as far as you)
