Patricia (pg4003) | 243 comments Here's a good article about the release of the Amazon Tablet from someone who has actually seen one. Looks like the tablet is almost here, but not the Kindle 4 yet.

Helen Interesting. Wonder when we'll start seeing images.

Patricia (pg4003) | 243 comments Soon, I hope, Helen. Perhaps can't be too far off if they let this guy handle one.

stormhawk | 542 comments I'll get one.

Even if I have to cash in the change basket.

Patricia (pg4003) | 243 comments Stormhawk - you can cash in your change at the Coinstar machines and get an Amazon gift card for no fee! There ya go!

Rachel Cotterill (rachelcotterill) I just can't bring myself to get excited about another backlit tablet device. I love my e-ink Kindle too much!

Helen I just want to nosy, I doubt I'd buy it as I wouldn't read on it.

Have to agree with you there. If I wanted a backlit reader I suppose I could just use my phone. e-ink is the only style of product I want for an ereader.

I might get the 10inch one when it comes out to use it as a tablet and for editing work. I'm not going to use it for reading though - if I wanted to read on a backlit screen I'd just use my phone or my laptop. I love the Kindle's screen because it's not a backlit LCD.

Shaina (shainaeg) I keep going back and forth on whether I want the amazon tablet. I certainly don't see it replacing my kindle (Amazon just needs to release the e-ink kindle 4 already!!!). I do like the fact that the recent articles about the tablet talked about integration with amazon's video and mp3 services. I'm just not sure that a wifi only tablet would be any better than the netbook I currently have.
