Nicolai (nemoi) | 47 comments I started Flashforward yesterday and immediately got immersed in the story. One question that kept coming up in my head, though, was how twitter, facebook, google+ & Co. have already changed the way at least I get the news.

As everyone was watching CNN after the flashforward, I couldn't help thinking that today a lot of people would rather immediately go to twitter to post about their visions, their losses and their thoughts. And that it would be a lot easier to dive into the collective reaction towards such a global event via these tools.

Then I envisioned a twitter timeline that completely went blank globally and then just exploded on hashtags like #flashforward, #zwischenfall or #Cern ;)

Would you also first turn to your social network of choice after such an event?

Gregory Lynn (gregory_lynn) No, but then I don't have a social network of choice.

I'd be watching on CNN and going back and forth to the computer like I was on 9/11.

Jenny (Reading Envy) (readingenvy) | 2898 comments I hate to admit it, but most significant pieces of news in the last two years, I have heard about in Facebook first. I have a lot of international friends and relatives, so that helps. I have had three occasions where I've heard of something on Facebook and it isn't even listed as breaking news on CNN yet.
