I've read the first book and I have 64 pages left on the second one. This was a book group pick, I would not have pick this on my own. It is an easy read, although there are alot of characters and ALOT about history...which I'm not interested in. Although in general I do like memoirs.

At the store group, we are reading Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. I've always heard good things about both the book and the movie, plus we've read a number of books dealing with the Middle Eastern countries so this will be a nice addition to that. Furthermore, it's so different from anything we've ever read as it's a graphic biography. (It seems appropriate that the movie is animated.)
Thus far, I'm still in what constitutes volume one, I believe. (I'm reading the edition with both volumes.) Nevertheless, I am enjoying it.
