kayla, yeah, hatchet is better. it was a stupid idea to try to re-create what brian went through. loved the first one better.
I was actually surprised by The River in a good way. Yeah it isn't as good as Hatchet but I forgot how "real" the first book felt. Survival. Desperation. I felt like The River captured that really well . . . and for a second time. That is not easy to do. I was impressed.
yeah, i guess he did a good job of re-creating what brian went through in another way, it just fell a little short to my expectations.
It's not as good as Hatchet, and I hated how at the end the last chapter was called Measurements. I almost didn't read that part.
Yeah the beginning has an almost laughable premise. The guy who got stuck on an island by himself is being paid to do it all over again and surprise! he is in trouble and must survive.Other than that the book is really not so bad. I liked it.
If Derek didn't go into the coma what would've changed?(i don't know and I would like you guys (and gals) ideas).
If BRIAN went into the coma what would've Derek done?
Derek would've probably freaked out and accidentally killed Brian
What if Brian left Derek at the lake?
Derek would've died from animals attacking him
