Calvin down in the alley heavily, panting. The loaf of bread he had stolen from the grocer was squashed in his hands since he had been clutching onto it as he ran from the store, the owner and a few clerks chasing after him. They had given up several blocks ago, but Calvin had kept running just to be sure he was safe. He stretched his long legs out and leaned against the dirty wall, heaving a sigh.
Nick looked up from where she sat under a little ledge, watching the boy. Her mouth watered when she saw the bread. "Trespasser's fee," She said pulling her cap to the side, he wasn't worth getting up, but eye contact was a must. "This is my alley."
"Your alley?" He asked, glaring at the boy. "No it ain't," he held the bread closer to his chest. No way was he taking this from him. He kept his eyes on the boy as he slowly rose.
There was a crack of thunder and Nick looked up at the sky, "Half for the night. You're not going to find a better deal in this part of town."
"Just count your blessings for not running into Sid," Nick told the boy, "He would have taken your bread and your shoes."
"Just count your blessings for not running into Sid," Nick told the boy, "He would have taken your bread and your shoes."
(Watch this: http://animoto.com/play/uCRrQzZM6HH3M...)She folded the slice in half and took a bite, her eyes closing. "God, you don't know how good this tastes."
"I'm not going to stop saying what's true," he said to her, brushing the crumbs off his dirty black hoody.
"Alright..." She said, not trusting him. "But you tell anyone, and you're dead. I know 10 ways to kill you with a rock alone."
Nick kept her glare, but leaned back against the wall as another crack of lightning light the sky and rain started pouring.
Calvin pulled in his legs and held them tight against his chest, listening to the rain and trying to ignore the wetness that had begun soaking through his hoodie
Nick looked up from her little nook, and sighed, folding up to make room. "Come on, you're getting the bread wet."
He stayed silent as he chewed on his lip, thinking. He watched the girl from the corner of his eye, still unsure about her. She could have a knife on her. But it wasn't like he didn't have one on him. If he had to, he'd pull it out, just to call a bluff. He'd never use it on a girl. But he'd threaten her if he had too(Hey, I totally forgot about this RP!)
