Lori | 3 comments I've just finished reading it, and loved it! I am picking up book 8 this week, but I need some clarification from someone!
It's been awhile since I've read the other 7 books, but I remember Claire being a nurse not a doctor? I know that coming from the future would give her alot more medical knowledge than Dr's of the time, but it was written as if she really was a Dr. Especially when she's preparing to to surgery, she goes over it in her mind as she had done it before. So I'm confused!!

Dee (austhokie) | 1124 comments she was a nurse during the war and then went back to Med school after her first trip through the stones - I think Brianna was in school when she started...that is where she and Joe Abernathy knew each other from

message 3: by Joyce (new)

Joyce (js33) She was a nurse on her first time through the stones. After she came forward to have Bree, she returned to school and became a doctor.

Lori | 3 comments Thanks for clearing that up! I don't remember that happening at all! Now it makes more sense, library just called....getting book 8 tonight!

message 5: by Joyce (new)

Joyce (js33) It took a second "listening" for me to come up with a lot I missed the first time. When I want to know what is going to happen next, I read too fast and miss a lot.
Most books I would never re-read -but currently I'm listening to this book.

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 3151 comments It was explained quite a bit in Dragonfly and in Voyager. She decided to go back to school after Bree was born. She became a surgeon.

Northern Light (norrthernlight) | 219 comments I'm rather confused as surely book 8 isn't out yet.

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 3151 comments I think she meant book 7.

message 9: by Lori (new)

Lori | 3 comments I'm more confused than you know. I just picked up,"An Echo in the Bone" which I thought was book 8.....and I've read it already!! So I must have read the last two out of order! Well at least now I know I'm up to date and just have to wait for the newest book to come out!

Ahhhh that happens to me all the time when I read, and if I do eventually do a reread of a book, I find that I have missed out on so much! I know I am going to have to do a reread of the whole Outlander series because there are so many times when I'm confused on what is happening because I'm reading too fast. Also, I am never able to remember the secondary characters that come in and out of nowhere throughout each book.

Jen (at last!) (jenkeith) | 1052 comments I'll need to start a reread soon. I wish we had a more concrete release date for book 8! I just got my friend hooked on the series so I've been browsing the books as she gets to them. She's only on Dragonfly. ;) I might start Voyager with her...

Tina | 162 comments I just finished ABOSAA and I loved the end...cried my eyes out though. ****SPOLIER****I love Bree, Roger and Jem. They really bring the whole family atmoshere to the Ridge. Isn't that what Jamie is all about..family!! I just about died when they left. One of the saddest parts of the whole series. Right up there when Claire left in DIA. I could just picture Bree hugging Jamie and not letting go. So sad!!! One question though...Jamie has a dreams one being about Bree and Roger and Jem when they are back in their own time. He see the house that they are in..Roger's old house,he descries it to a tee, and he sees and describes the telephone....he also had a dream about Claire and that he saw her in her own time sitting at a desk with the electric light on...what is up with these dreams..this is something new? No, yes??? Does this tie in with the Ghost of Jamie? Not too may details please..just starting Echo :)

Oh yeah...I also love, love, loved when Bree first sees William. I first could picture Bree's face when she first saw him..."looks just like Da"...then when they met and talked while Jamie and Lord John watched from the window above...my heart broke for Jamie..his 2 children together, but will never be together with him...heartbreaker!!!

Carren Kay | 953 comments Ahh.. The mystery goes on! DG said in an interview that the ghost thing would be explained in the last book of the series. I'm thinking that his "dreams" will be explained as well.
