But I can use this for meta fiction, right?

One of the devices of meta-fiction is "A novel where the narrator intentionally exposes him or herself as the author of the story". The first page does seem to indicate that Percy is claiming to be the author of the book. If so, it fits.

I'll take What Work Is plus other poems by Philip Levine for that task, sure.

Awesome! Thank you! He's one of my favorite poets, so that's certainly not a hard task. I'll post the links of the ones I read, as I do not have another of his books at hand. I'll read 5 more. His poems are typically near if not more than a page in length, so that should bring the page count from 96 to 100 without any problems.
