Hodor. Hodor.Shame on you for not mentioning Peter F. Hamilton's The Mandel Files being reprinted in America today. Steve Gibson would have mentioned it.
Did I miss it or was there no discussion regarding our next book?Kristain Nairn sounds like a fun guy.

I had the pleasure of seeing Nairn at Octocon last year while GoT was filming. It's nice to see that the fame hasn't changed him.

Yeah no problem with a break, it’s just that it was mentioned that the next book pick would be discussed it this episode. Guess I've been pining for the next book as I finished DwD sometime back, though I have no shortage of other books on the go.
Cool to hear Nairn came across as a nice guy when you met him. Stikes me as a bit of a BFG.
@Kate: P.S. Octocon looks like a lot of fun. I'm still kicking myself that I missed Aussiecon 4 (Worldcon 68) last year which George was at. If history is any indication it will be 10years before the next Worldcon makes it down here ~sigh~

Yeh after listening to the podcast I pretty much figured the same thing that Kate did. Which is fine. I had been waiting to start my next book pending the selection but since it wasn't discussed I figured I probably had enough time to go ahead and start and finish another book before S&L made its next reading selection.

Oh and also, I've been in guilds on max level toons in both horde and alliance. Trust me the amount of 10 year olds playing is about the same for both sides. I'd say I even saw a few more 20 year old's acting like 10 years on the Horde side laughing with evil delight at crazed PVP griefing of Alliance.Resto Shamans ftw!

Well Dragon Con is a good place to have the next author introduce their book - I'm just saying.Very good podcast, as always.
Oh, and Ron Pearlman, was the Beast in the TV show Beauty and the Beast, as was Roy Dotrice. GRRM was a writer for the show. That is where they know each other. Wow, was that really almost 25 years ago?

After all, it is your fault for making reading fun.

"Reading Rainbow" is very evil.

+1 (million) that made me laugh. literally out loud. Thank you.
I also have a suggestion for the next book. A friend of mine suggested Ready Player One. It's a "laser" book I believe.

See, my friend thought I would like it since I liked the 80s. I don't really know what the book is about.

Yeah, pretty much. I just gave it a read. If you didn't grow up in the 80s you'll really not appreciate it very much.
