Kelly | 2 comments Hello:

Check out this page: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/34...

It shows the title and book info for The Kitchen Companion, but it shows my reviews and those of others for One Hundred Years of Solitude. Can this be fixed easily?

Thanks,
Kel

Jessica | 963 comments That is super weird. I checked the log on the book and no changes have been made to it. I wonder how that happened.

Beth (bethjustbeth) | 1568 comments Worldcat confirms it's the kitchen companion book...looks like a job for the feedback group.

Kelly | 2 comments I didn't read the Kitchen Companion, but I did read One Hundred Years of Solitude. I recently imported from Living Social. Is this a mix-up in the database?

If so, it may be the LS database. (Because there's no evidence the book has ever been edited on GR.) Maybe it had an incorrect ISBN assigned to One Hundred Years?

But it has an awful lot of reviews (even Otis added it). Enough to make me think it was attached to the other editions of One Hundred Years. But no edits, so...glitch in the Matrix?

I saw the lots of reviews (which could be explained by the fact that we just had a huge influx of LS folks). And Otis has an actual review of 100 Years, from 2009. He may actually have been adding the cookbook.

Hopefully he'll chime in and let us know. I just have a hard time believing all those people searched via ISBN, reviewed it and didn't notice it was a totally different book.

But then again, people always surprise me.

Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments It definitely looks to me like the the LS database had the wrong ISBN number for an edition of 100 years.

Looking through the first page of reviews only two of the members joined before July this year, and all of the text-reviews are dated after July 24th.

I asked Otis to weigh in, but I'm not sure when he'll have a chance.

That's not what I think happened. I think they exported from LS (with the incorrect ISBN), and then imported to GR -- and our importer goes strictly by ISBN, as long as one is present.

Since for many users this was only one of hundreds or thousands of books they imported, they may not have noticed.

Heh. Otis knows nothing about this book.

That he's admitting, anyway...lol.

Heidi | 1 comments I noticed that one word is misspelled in this audio book's title; it says "Impack" and it should be "Impact." See:
