Riley (booksarecool) oh guess what! There's this song that makes fun of Miley Cyrus's 7 things.

It's called:
7 things Guys don't have to do.

It's hilarious!

message 67: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) yeah. And we should put an age limit. Cause I think there's people who are a bit too young to be exposed this sort of stuff...

message 68: by Sella, ov vey! i haven't checked this group in months. >< (new)

Sella Malin | 4530 comments Mod
it sucks...i always get cramps with my period. every time. and really bad ones, too. plus my pms is really bad- i get SOO emotional and pissed at everyone and such. i hope they don't hate me...

message 69: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ | 5857 comments Mod
i learned in like second or third grade ... XD
ditto to what sella said. ugh. my period is a word-that-rhymes-with-witch

message 70: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (ashocalypse) I learned about it in school in 5th grade... but I think my mom talked to me about that when I was nine.

I get really moody during that time... more moody than I already am, which means I'm a hair-lengths away from just going completely psycho.

message 71: by Sella, ov vey! i haven't checked this group in months. >< (new)

Sella Malin | 4530 comments Mod
i don't remember when i learned that...maybe 5th grade? i dunno.

but yeah...i hate my period SO much. gah, mother nature is SOO mean!! :P i wish it was like a switch that you could turn on and off!!

message 72: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ | 5857 comments Mod
that would be cool. ha ha ha :D

message 73: by Kenzie (new)

Kenzie | 2838 comments Ugh! PMS! I hate it! And I think I might be today ... not that you care or anything. But I was really happy at school, then came home and blew up at my sister when I spilled Kool-Aid, and screeched at my brother when he was misbehaving....

I don't get sad when I'm Pms-ing, just usually really ticked off....

Okay, changing the subject....

message 74: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) I learned about it when I was six, then I forgot about it. Then, in third grade, I walked into the library when they were talking about 'it'.

message 75: by Veronica, What the neck!? (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) | 2889 comments Mod
eh, it's no big deal. anyone who doesn't already know about pms wouldn't understand what we were talking about anyway.

And if it weren't for CWC (creative writing club) I would be in a really bad mood still. I actually had a pretty crappy day. I mean, after first hour started, and then until I got to math. and the first half of that class plus lunch was okay... but after that my day sucked again. I kind of felt like banging my head against a desk. I didn't though because I knew it would hurt. But then after school CWC made everything good again. :)

message 76: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) Gee. I sure glad I am over that. Now it's night sweats and hot flashes. I think I'll take the period. I have severe heat for like 30 minutes at a time. I even have to sleep nude sometimes. I HATE them. It doesn't go away after menopause ends either. Believe me. I know. Well, actually I think I'll take menopause over the period. At least the hot flashes don't last for seven days.

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

wow.... im only on my 5th period.......... i hate it i get sooooooo hot during the night......... and then i have horrible crampsssssssssssssssssssss grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

grrrrrrrrr pms

message 79: by Veronica, What the neck!? (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) | 2889 comments Mod
lol, don't worry. If anyone is on here that isn't mature enough to handle it, they probably shouldn't be on goodreads anyway. which is younger than nine-ish, I'd say.

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

yep.......... i agreeee

message 81: by Veronica, What the neck!? (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) | 2889 comments Mod
i started when I was 11 too. . . and I knew everything when I was about nine.

but then they educated us about it, along with a bigger IT in sixth grade.

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

boo hoo im in 6th grade........ and yes i think i know what u mean by 'bigger it'... yeah......

i havent had a period in like 2 months...... strange....... but i know why its just alittle weird..... but i lke it..... yeah

message 83: by Veronica, What the neck!? (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) | 2889 comments Mod
yeah, sometimes when you first start you skip months or (much worse) have two in one month. The latter happened to me once. Ugh. not pleasant.

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

oh that happened to me TWICE! not pleasant

message 85: by Catamorandi (last edited Oct 09, 2008 05:41PM) (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) I learned about 'it' when I was in fifth grade. My sister was in third grade. I got my period when I was 10. I don't think you should have to be that miserable for so long a time. There ought to be a lower age limit on the whole thing.

message 94: by Catamorandi (last edited Oct 09, 2008 08:19PM) (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) Another reason is because it shows you are growing into a woman. That is the first visible sign of being a woman, and as Saved by Grace stated, it is supposed to make the guys hot. I don't know if guys still do this today, but they used to judge a girls' breasts with vegetables and fruit. Oh she has pea size ones. Oh she has peaches. In fifth grade, mind you, I was called watermelons. Now how stupid is that, having boys judge girls' breasts is all they have to do. I feel sorry for them.

message 95: by Sella, ov vey! i haven't checked this group in months. >< (new)

Sella Malin | 4530 comments Mod
i got my period when i was twelve...and when i'm pmsing i'm usually just really angry and snap at people...sry that was random but we were talking about it before...

yeah and i think it's really stupid, how everyone makes a big deal out of the size of your boobs. and i hate how guys have to decide and judge you if you're "hot" or not. it really ticks me off. you should be judged on your personality, not your body. it's really bad, how our society today is centered around all that kind of stuff.

message 96: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ | 5857 comments Mod
i feel like we're not giving guys enough credit here! yeah, some of them are pigs. but probably most guys out there don't care THAT much how big a girl's boobs are; most of them are like us, and they care more about what's on the inside ... and of course it doesn't hurt to look good on the outside -- but that doesn't necessarily mean we have to have big boobs.
:-/ sorry i'm not great at explaining things ...

message 97: by Daisy (new)

Daisy | 1074 comments GUYS ARE BUTTHOLES! WHO UNDO YOUR FRIENDS BRA (twice) AND THEN SNAP THE STRAP THREE TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

message 98: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) I don't want to be married either. I don't trust men. I don't like men. I couldn't live with or marry another guy. They have hurt me so badly. I don't care to be hurt for the rest of my life.

message 99: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ | 5857 comments Mod
It's unfair to put all guys into one category. I mean, you wouldn't say that all people in the world are the same, would you? It's not that I'm saying that guys are the only ones that matter, which is kind of what I'm making this sound like ... :-/ gaaaah i can't talk ...

ANYWAY, what I'm trying to say is that each guy is his own unique individual, so it's impossible to say that they're ALL the same. There's someone out there for everyone -- I mean, there are billions of human beings on this planet. And I just hope that someday I might find "the one", u know? I would be sad if I didn't, because I'd like to get married and have kids and all ... but I wouldn't live my life in total misery if I didn't. I'd find a way.
