Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments I'm too busy to get distracted by edits atm, and I can't tell from the log who did it.

Sandra (readingontheporch) | 269 comments What needs to be done? Can the author be changed from God to anonymous again? I would assume that religious texts like the Bible remain under God as the author, but stuff like Arabian Nights would need edits to show the author as anonymous? And how does that affect books that are still under anonymous? Sorry for the many questions but I don't want to screw this up any further than it already is.

mlady_rebecca | 591 comments Under the current policy, the correct author for the Bible is Anonymous.

Jessica | 963 comments Uggh, hopefully the PTB can undo that..

willaful This wasn't actually a merging, was it? I mean, did "God" actually exist as an author in the GR database? Can't we just change it back to "anonymous"?

message 6: by Paula (new)

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments I have changed back to anonymous and added the anonymous blurb. There generally is not a way to reverse this type of merge.

I doubt there was an official God author since policy is currently anonymous

Banjomike | 5166 comments There HAVE been several "God" authors.

And then there is this one:

Given the explanation:
"Because this book which is my first published book ever is dedicated to the orginal author and finisher of my faith, he is the author"

Certainly this would fall under "Unknown" then, by current rules?

message 10: by Melody (new)

Melody (runningtune) | 13300 comments Actually WorldCat has the author as "God Almighty"

His full name is God Dieux, so I think we'd manage just fine.
