Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments YAY MEL!!!

Pretend that's in really huge font, okay?

message 1952: by M.A. (last edited Apr 20, 2013 07:23AM) (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Haha! Hope the research goes well, Katy. xx

Patti, I see things are progressing well with **** she's almost a published author now!

message 1953: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yep.

I'm so proud of her too!

Erm... Could you please delete her name from your post? :)

I meant to see her at school yesterday but I lost my one and only free period to an assembly. Grrr

Hopefully I'll see her next week.

Has she shown you her cover yet? Ask her to if she hasn't okay? Katie has been as marvellous as you. :)

message 1954: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Sorry, didn't think, edited out. I'll drop her a quick email. xx

message 1955: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Brill, Mel. You're lovely.

Won't matter soon, if she's going to publish under her own name. We've not discussed that yet.

Think ill start a thread to get opinions on whether or not she should. Would love your opinion on it, please.

message 1956: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) I couldn't find a thread, Patti.

The young lady sent me her blurb, I tweaked it a little but tried to keep her info and voice. She's going to run it past you on Monday. I didn't want to change it and for her to think I was taking over. :-)

message 1957: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh that's brill!

Yeah she sent me the blurb and I cheekily started a new release thread.

No wonder its such a great blurb!

I'm sick with a cold and rather brain dead today. Totally forgot about starting the thread.

Oh look. Shiny thing.

message 1958: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Hope you feel better soon. :-(

I've been troubled with hive flare ups the past few days, not sure if it's the woodstain I used on the stairs or the nasty weed in the garden which has caused it!

message 1959: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Can I just point out that I'm physically and mentally exhausted but you guys are driving me crazy! Stop sending me begging emails, you've got your way. Torn Apart will be winging its way to the editor today and I'm just about to start the prologue to Searching For Justice. The hints in the title folks - Lorne is coming back. Now stop harassing me, pleeeeease! :-)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

message 1961: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) LOL! You are nuts, that's official. ♥

message 1962: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Just excited ♥

There's too much excitment!

I'm seeing my wee cousin tonight (not seen her since Christmas)
Got a new Lorne book to look forward to
Seeing all my best pals from school on Sat
Seeing my Bestie on Sunday
Seeing Ems on Monday (and my cousin again)
Seeing Hubby on Tuesday after not seeing him for a week
Going to Glasgow on Sat
and then...

FLORIDA ON SUNDAY!

message 1963: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) OMG! That's a hell of a week, rounded off by a trip of a lifetime. I've been to Florida twice and almost moved out there. If it wasn't for the crappy health care in the States we would have been living there instead of France.

oh wow, so envious of you. No point saying have a fab time because I KNOW you will. ♥

We're looking at booking a dog friendly cottage in Brittany for later on in the year. First holiday we've had for over 11 years.

message 1964: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Oh! Lovely! I hope you find somewhere nice, its worth emailing to ask places if they would allow dogs even if it's not advertised as dog friendly. The last hotel me and hubby stayed at allow (small) dogs in the room but they don't advertise it, it was only that a pal of mine from uni happened to be on reception and I mentioned our dog that I found out.

message 1965: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Good thinking, I'll do that over the weekend. :-)

message 1966: by Katy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Katy | 2662 comments YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! :D

BRILLIANT NEWS!

DEFINITELY LIFTED MY MOOD! (:

WE LOVE YOU, MEL!! (:

message 1967: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Meh.

She's alright, I suppose.

message 1968: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Ssshhh... Let me get on and write it, you never know one day I might get picked for one of those elusive BOTM slots! Or maybe not. lol

message 1969: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments You mean you haven't got a bottom slot?

How do you find jeans that fit?

message 1970: by Rosen (new)

Rosen Trevithick (rosentrevithick) | 2272 comments Oh my God, Mel! I've just noticed where Cruel Justice is in the UK bestseller charts! Go you!

message 1971: by Rosen (new)

Rosen Trevithick (rosentrevithick) | 2272 comments P.S. How did you get is to cost 49p?

message 1972: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Not sure really, Rosen!

Drop by my blog and see my latest interview with an Indie author, if you will? This week I have best-selling author Rosen Trevithick in the spotlight. http://melcomley.blogspot.fr

Just to let you know also that Soul Intention is currently with the proof readers and is due out in a few weeks.

Happy holidays everyone, I'm just about to take it easy for a week or two myself after all the renovations. :-)

message 1973: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Just dropped in to let you know that Ultimate Justice has been reduced to 77p for the next few days. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Just...

You might be interested to know that Justice Seven, Virtual Justice is almost 2/3 written, there again you might not! lol

It's on course for a November release, hopefully I'll get it edited on my holiday. :-)

message 1974: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Lost my thread for a while there. Sorry for the absence guys, things kind of got on top of me for a few months. Not enough hours in the day etc.

Hope everyone is well?

I'm glad to see the latest release Virtual Justice is being well received, it's great to have Lorne back.:-)

message 1975: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I don't think we'll mind too much since we got a book out of it, and a Lorne book at that :o)

Nice to have you back though

message 1976: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Thanks Jud, I'm trying to manage my time better, honest! lol

message 1977: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is well?

Finally the renovations are over. Two years of hell that started off as an exciting ride. Just a few things to tweak but basically we're renovation free.

Not sure how I've managed to keep writing during all the work but to date I've released 14 books over the last two years. Two more written and almost ready to go.

Plus Amazon Crossing is in the process of translating Cruel Justice into German and French for me. Exciting times ahead for this happy author.

:-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments 14!!! Wow. Just wow.

message 1979: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) LOL! Yeah, when you put it like that, it does sound impressive.

How are you, Gingerlily? :-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Recovering from an epic weekend trip to LonCon! One day travelling, one day there and another day travelling home. Had a fantastic time, and helped launch my friend's first book.

message 1981: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Hi Mel!

Yay for the end of reno hell!

message 1982: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Aww... how wonderfully supportive of you, I bet you're exhausted. I'm not the greatest of travellers. I had to take a trip to the UK recently 17 hours there and back on the ferry, cream crackered me for a good few days I can tell you. :-)

Hi Patti, yeah, finally finished, just have the odd bit to do here and there. Not something I intend embarking on again, I can tell you.

How's the teaching going, hon?

message 1983: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) I put a picture up in the group photos of our kitchen. :-)

Fricking gorgeous!

Teaching is wonderful, deeply rewarding, exhausting, scary, magical, frustrating, messy and makes my soul smile.

Probably very much like writing but with more snot.

message 1989: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Ha! I've been spammed!

Just popping in to announce that Tortured Justice Tortured Justice by M A Comley has now been released. I'll pop it in the new release folder for you all.

I've gotta fly, Mum has a docs appointment before her two operations this month. It's all go what with the legal battle we've just started too! Life has been pretty full on the last few years.

Hope everyone is okay? x

message 1990: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments You've been de-spammed!

All the best to Mum!

Legal battle? Dish!

message 1991: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Blimey, your life never has a lull Mel! Anyway, hoping the court case ends in your favour, and sending lots of "get well quick" vibes to Mum xx

PS... Just finished my novel so I'll read the next Lorne one next. Pete's coming back in Ultimate Justice, right?

PS: the link to the book doesn't link to you as an author, looks like there's another account with your name on it. Just thought I'd mention it x

I think it is because that book is set up with the author name without full stops after the initials. I can change it - can you let me know if the other books on that profile are also yours Mel?

message 1993: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Yes, they're all my books Janet, God i hate Goodreads! lol It took me half an hour to figure out to add a book in the first place. :-(

Yes, Lorraine Ultimate Justice sees the return of Pete, plus I've just written a short story involving him in the flesh, should be out next month. :-)

Patti, we're suing the solar panel company, looks like we've been scammed. Never, ever thought that would happen to me. Luckily, we had until yesterday to file a complaint against the company before they go into bankruptcy mode. I've been chatting to someone on twitter who lives in the Auvergne, she used to be a journalist back in the UK and reported on Scams, she got duped too. My solicitor has taken her case on as well, thank goodness.

There are currently 20 cases against this firm sitting on my solicitor's desk.

Stressful time, at least it has been. Hopefully going to sort itself out soon. :-)

Mum's got to have a couple of cataract ops this month, she should be fine, she's scared though. xx

message 1994: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Being scammed sucks! Let's hope they get book thrown at them!

Can't blame mum for being scared. I'd be too. But Dave's dad had the ops too and said it was brilliant and wished he'd had it done sooner.

message 1995: by M.A. (last edited Sep 05, 2014 08:07AM) (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) I'll pass that on, Patti, she'll be relieved to hear that. :-)

message 1996: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments I have nothing to say but... YAY PETE'S COMING BACK !!!!!!! *little dance*

message 1997: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) He he. He is, it did feel funny casting Katy aside to draft Pete back in but... it was great having the original team back.

:-) xx

Sorry Katy! But if Pete makes a come back after being dead, I'm sure you'll be back sometime soon :)

message 2000: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Thanks Katy, we have to nip out to the clinic this morning for a pre-op assessment. I'm sure Mum will be fine.

How is everything going with you, sweetie. I'm so out of touch. :-( xx

Yeah, Katy and Lorne will be back in another Justice book after my new WIP. Hero will be making a return soon too. Just booked up my editor for next year, no pressure there then! lol I just hope I can keep coming up with enough storylines.

I've just had an email from one of my fans in the States who said she's never heard of the murder weapon used in Tortured before, hats off to me for my imagination! Always great to hear. :-)

Have a fab weekend folks. xx
