message 1051: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I got up at 8 this morning :o) I could still do with a nap though... I need to get to bed earlier

message 1052: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) On my fourth cup now, Patti. :-)

message 1053: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Maybe the coffee is causing the headache?

message 1054: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Jeez.

message 1055: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments It's the people I work with that give me headaches

message 1056: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) I'm the type that needs 8 hours sleep. I'm useless if I don't get that. Had a little nap! Old age is a terrible thing. lol

message 1057: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Ha! I just woke up too!

But now my mouth feels like I've been chewing old socks.

message 1058: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I'm pretty sure 8 hours isn't even enough for me...

message 1059: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) eeewww!

Me neither Jud. Even as a baby I slept a solid 12 hours every night! :-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Patti - put pie filling in them, that way they won't taste so bad.

message 1061: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Seriously GL.

I got a shed load of pie filling.

Ten tins, I think. Maybe twelve.

So what did I decide to bake this morning? Why, a cake, of course!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Can you do a larder swap with someone? They might have an excess of something different.

message 1063: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Naw, not worth the bother. I'll make pies with them and give them to my mates.

The guys here appreciate a bit of home cookin'.

message 1064: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) LOL! Don't let my Mother hear you talk about pie filling as a qualified chef she'd go ape pooh!

Well the edits are back so we're one step nearer. Just waiting on the beta reader to have her say!

I'll get on with the formatting and have another read through myself! :-)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments She'd not if she lived here. :)

M.A. Comley (melcom) It is indeed, Kate. Nice to see someone recommending my books on the Zon forum too!

Off to make notes on the new book I have in mind! :-)

message 1069: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh that is nice, Mel.

I've not opened the zoo forum since the last train crash over there.

Does my head in.

message 1070: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Must have missed that, Patti. We authors always seem to get a little bump in sales when we're mentioned over there though. :-)

message 1071: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) I've just uploaded the first full chapter of Foul Justice on my blog with a date for the release.

M.A. Comley (melcom) Hehe! Fingers crossed I have better readers on it now and dear Donna is tweaking the blurb for me. The formatting is done already.

Steve Robinson (steverobinson) | 2926 comments Hope the new book launch goes great, Mel. Wow, it feels like I've had my head in the sand for last 6 months. You know how it is. Enjoy the moments. Hopefully, so many people will buy the new book on day one that it will launch straight into the top 100! :o)

message 1080: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh Steve. Wouldn't that be brilliant???

For your's too, of course!

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments You can count on me to do so !

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I'll probably buy it at some point...

message 1083: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Thanks Steve, maybe your book will have that success I doubt mine will though. :-) Good luck to you too on release day.

I'm just hoping for a bump in sales to help me through moving house.

message 1084: by Steve (new)

Steve Robinson (steverobinson) | 2926 comments You've got a huge readership, Mel. I'm sure FJ will do just fine. I guess the trick is making that readership aware of the launch. Then hoping they all get clicking enough to get it noticed by everyone else. :o) I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

message 1085: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Thanks Steve, I'll be spreading the word when yours comes out too! :-)

message 1086: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Been busy packing this week, half the house is now stored in a horse box ready for the move!

Just wanted to let you know there's going to be a slight delay on the release of Foul Justice due to a proof reader having some personal issues to deal with!

Hopefully it'll be out next week now!

Have a great day.

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments That's exciting, looking forward to reading it Mel!

message 1088: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Thanks Rosemary. The group is well represented in it and you'll be in the acknowledgements as promised. :-)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Thanks Katy. xx

Foul justice should be out this week, fingers crossed.

Hope your knee is better? ♥

message 1092: by Katy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Katy | 2662 comments I can't wait! (:

Yeah, I'm doing much better, thanks! Stitches out on Monday, but I've pretty much got all movement back. Only thing is I still can't quite walk on it. Can stand without my crutches for short periods of time though! (:

How's the move coming along? x

message 1093: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Glad to hear things are healing well Katy x

message 1094: by Katy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Katy | 2662 comments Thanks, Lorraine! (: x

message 1095: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Glad you're getting movement back in it Katy, that can be the most frustrating part.

Move is going slowly, most of upstairs furniture etc is now either downstairs or in the horse box ready for moving. :-)

I'm pacing myself. Had to fit a new shower today because the thermostat went on the old one. :-)

I can add plumber to my DIY skills now. lol

message 1096: by Katy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Katy | 2662 comments The most frustrating part is getting out of bed in the morning, going to stand up, forgetting my crutches and almost falling over! haha

It's always good to pace yourself (:
Plumber? That's impressive!

message 1097: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Bless, you be careful in case you cause more damage.

I'll have a go at anything Katy! :-)

message 1098: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I just came in here to say, isn't our Mel just the loveliest :o)

Really kind and caring.

I love our group and I love our Mel!
