M A Comley - thrills guaranteed. :-)

Going to celebrate now!!

Oh and thanks for thanking me for my review :)
Can I just ask... did you have a particular person in mind when you created the character of Jacques Arnaud?

I was waiting for Jacques to be turn out to be not as nice as he seemed. Glad he didn't although v sad about his end :(

I completely agree though ='(

Wow - house sounds lovely Mel! Especially with an orchard - what fruit does it have?

Lorraine, no one in particular. That's amazing that you had to reread the end twice, how cool is that to hear!
Karen, there are a mixture of trees, will post a pic when I can. They're mostly apple, pear and plums though. Oh and there's a veg patch, not sure when I'll be able to fit all the work that entails in though. I'll just have to write all winter long and take a couple of months off in the summer.
Now all the trawling around has been done I have to get our garden in order, loads of weeds!
It's never ending but enjoyable just the same. ;-)

Foul Justice
Trisha Dobbs cowered in the corner. She wrapped her trembling arms around her two small children, and kept her gaze on the three men ransacking her immaculate home. “Please don’t hurt us anymore, please!”
The man in charge snarled and ordered, “Get the rope and tie them up.”
Trisha gasped, and he turned to look at her, his eyes narrowing with hatred. She quickly averted her eyes, not wishing to annoy the man further. She’d already lashed out at him while trying to protect her son and daughter, when the three brutes had forced their way into the house. He had a gash above his right eye where her flailing fist had connected, and she had a gash across her cheek where he’d retaliated without hesitation. She’d sensed then that she and her children were in for a rough ride and that this man was used to getting his way with women, one way or another.
“Mummy, I want to go toilet,” little Rebecca said, as tears welled in her bright blue eyes.
Trisha comforted the child and kissed her forehead reassuringly. “Sssh, hon, try and hold on. Go through your alphabet to take your mind off it, like I told you. A is for apple, B is for —”
“Shut the f*** up, bitch,” the man snapped his voice filled with venom.
“I … I’m sorry…” Trisha said but stopped when the man rushed at her and ripped her daughter from her grasp.
“Mummy!” Rebecca wailed.
“No! I’m sorry. Please don’t hurt my baby girl,” Trisha sobbed clinging tightly to her other child, two-year-old son, Jacob.
The boss man picked up frightened Rebecca and roughly dropped her on the large white leather sofa opposite her mother. Trisha soon saw the trickle of yellow liquid drip down the sofa onto the rug below. Sensing danger, she placed a finger to her lips to warn her daughter to keep quiet.
Rebecca covered her mouth as her shoulders trembled and tears cascaded down her flushed cheeks. Too far from her mother’s reach, the four-year-old was petrified.
The man towered over Trisha, his body blocking the light from the crystal chandelier overhead. “What time will he be home?”

Mowing took me ages, Lorraine and they've just been to empty the fosse toutes eaux! Nightmare! lol

Hey, my French isn't so bad, is it? It should be a LOT better though, as I studied it in school for seven years!

Selling the house we have to have certain diagnostic tests now, new in the past 8 years I suppose. This week so far has cost us over 500 euros! Pain in the backside and the man who came to check the fosse broke the covers to it and is refusing to pay for replacements them, so that's another cost we're going to have to find!
Not bad considering we didn't want to move! lol

Off to have a soak in the bath now!
See you all tomorrow. xx

Hey make the most of this new book, I doubt there is going to be another one this year. It's the last in the Simpkins series.
I've been in touch with my agent and we've decided to try something completely new, but it won't be out until 2013. He'll have it for a couple of months touting it around before I upload as an ebook.
I can't wait to get going on it, actually I penned the first couple of paragraphs the other night when I couldn't sleep! ;-)

I'll try and be patient, but can't promise ;b

!!!!??? (sorry couldn't explain what I'm feeling other than by using words that might not be very appropriate for a public website) :)
Not only could I just not put down the book, but I was totally exhausted from all the actions and emotions ! There isn't a single boring page, and the mix of fright, worry, sadness (I am SO missing Pete), horror and the frantic pace of the story really made reading this book an awesome experience.
One thing is sure, I never ever want to be in Lorne's shoes lol !
A recommended read. I liked Cruel Justice. This one is definitely as good.
