I started reading Impeding Justice last night because I couldn't focus/ get into the other book I was reading. I managed to finish the book this morning It was brilliant, a real page turner and I loved it. Thankyou for rediscovering my love of this genre :)

I've been taking a break the last couple of days, burn out hit hard and to come on here and read your comment has really put a huge smile on my face.
Hope you like the rest of the series as much. ;-)xx
Thanks Donna, I hope you like it as much as I love your romances. ;-)
Thanks Shaun, that's kind of you. xx

I tried to read this book slowly because I didn't want to get to the end and have no more of this gripping story. I enjoyed it from first chapter to last and will definitely look out for the rest of the books in this series.

The story grips you from the first page.
DI Lorne Simpkins is battling with her job her marriage and a killer.
As the story unfolded I found myself feeling sorry for Lorne as she seemed to be getting nowhere fast with the case and her job was affecting her family and there were more dead bodies turning up.
I found this book an easy and enjoyable read as some books twist too much that you get lost from the main plot.
There is a short passage at the end that just makes you want to get the next book in the series.
And a great review for Impeding Justice mentioned on this site today. http://pinkypollock.blogspot.com/2012...
Happy Sunday! ;-)

It was a really well written book with a great story line/ plot, glad its getting the recognition it deserves. Really pleased for you Mel :)

I'm sorry you've had such a crappy couple of weeks.

I've just reduced the price of Cruel Justice to 77 pence for the weekend. I hope you'll take advantage of the low price folks.

I'm looking for suggestions for a title if anyone wants to offer anything.
It's about footballers but only in the respect they're being targeted by a gang.
Open to offers... ******* Justice ;-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Romantic but not fluffy, 27 Feb 2012

The writer Mel Comley has a really lovely way of telling a story, it grips you from day one. I've put the heading "romantic but not fluffy" that's because, I was expecting a 'fluffy' romance and it surprised me. I felt good about that as I don't like the lovely dovey over the top sort of romantic reads. I would put this in a more fictional type of read.
Everyone in this book, all the characters stand out, they are real. I think most reviewers have told you what its about so I will say how the writer is.
She tells the story well, no confusing, an excellent narrator and I will be looking for more of her books. I'm always hesitant when it comes to new authors, I don't know why, maybe its because I like to see them succeed, and this author really has succeeded. I feel she is meant to go onto big and better books.
I read this book in just 2 sittings, I was sorry to see it end.
Worth buying, defo!
;-)

I'm having trouble as I've already got Final Justice as part of the trilogy! Grrr... Any sensible options gratefully considered and it goes without saying you'll get a mention in the acknowledgements! ;-)

I don't care what you call it Mel I just want to read it NOW!

Sarah, fingers crossed it should be out by April! ;-)
You readers are so demanding! lol

The editor isn't booked till the beginning of April, although if I get it finished beforehand they might be able to fit me in.
Where are you going why I'm slaving away, Sarah? ;-)

Another one 'Justice 4 The Team' I will keep torturing you with these titles till you make your decision:@)00

Bless, I hope the puppy is settling in okay, Sarah. My Rotti X is struggling at the moment. He's pulled a muscle in his leg and limping around. Breaks my heart to see him in pain. ;-(
I've just been informed I'm on a pretty elite list! http://lexirevellian.blogspot.com/201...

What I might do is collect all the one's I like together and ask people to vote at the end.

Poor Rottie X, as you say Mel to watch them suffering is dreadful you would take their pain for yourself if you could.
Great blog,I have read 2 of Lexi's books and really enjoyed them.

I'm liking Foul Justice more and more actually!
Right, gotta go to the accountants now, wish me luck.
After 8:30am It's A Dog's Life will be FREE for the next two days, so if anyone hasn't grabbed it yet please do!

Be back later! ;-)

Well, I went to the accountant today was really nervous as I can't really communicate in French very well, but she was very patient. She told me to wait for May and to just fill in the total royalties I've received, end of!
No outgoings etc which is surprising! ;-)

The doggy book did well overnight so I'm smiling at how many dogs this will save once it goes back to 77 pence! #101 in the US ;-)
#225 in the UK ;-)

Thanks Mel, romance isn't really my thing but I'll try this since it's you!! Ta

This review is from: Impeding Justice (Revised version) (DI Lorne Simpkins thriller (Book Two)) (Kindle Edition)
After being impressed with cruel justice I downloaded this one and it does not disappoint at all. The book opens with Pete, Lorne's partner, being shot and from there on it is a battle against the clock and against the "Unicorn" a criminal Lorne has been hunting down for 8 years. He is a master of escape and has no end of people that he is controlling. Lorne is desperate to catch him particularly after he starts targetting members of her family.
Tensions still exist between Lorne and husband Tom about the amount of time she is spending at work but these tensions don't seem to be as severe as in the first book. It will be interesting to see whether they have further improved by the time the third book is read.
My only criticism was the ending...guess I'll just have to download the next book though

Wow, just noticed that I got a two star review for Cruel Justice and the woman said it was a great story but my apostrophes are wrong. I wrote an angry letter to my editor and he responded to the woman telling her that she was the one in the wrong! lol
oops!

That's good news. I'd be embarrassed if I was her - she should have checked her facts first...
