What a wonderful idea, Donna Jo!I would like to check if Alanna: The First Adventure (A,B) and
(D) would be ok. The first one was first published in 1983 (the decade of my birth), but in any case, T.P. are my initials, reversed, so I think I'd be fine. I have dark brown/black hair.
I was wondering if this would work as having a mainly green cover as I have green eyes? If not, I'll wrangle up something else. :) Thanks.

"So glad the picture gets bigger so I could see it really was green. Go for it.
I know it's a bit hard to see when it's small, but is this one ok for hair colour? I have the same colour hair as her, red.

You're right, it is kind of hard, but I saw a little larger version on Amazon and it's okay. Looks like a gorgeous color for hair.
For Option A, what about a book with multiple authors. My initials match one of the authors, but not both. Will that still work? For Option D, does it have to be our natural hair color? ;)

Option A. If your initial matches one author it'll work.
Option D. Whatever is current will work. (My daughter is no longer sure what her "natural" color is/would be/was. Since my side of the family goes gray early, she might be totally white under there.)
Kelly wrote: "I have dark green eyes - would Olive Kitteridge work for option C?"Kelly, it'll depend on which edition you use. If you read one of them with a green cover, like the ebook version, yes, but make sure you link to the correct edition. The one you've linked to now is a gold cover and will not work.
That is funny b/c I was actually referring to the name "olive" as in olive green, but as it turns out I am reading the e-book version, so it's all good!
Kelly wrote: "That is funny b/c I was actually referring to the name "olive" as in olive green, but as it turns out I am reading the e-book version, so it's all good!"Sorry, Kelly. I'm brain-dead, because Olive IS a green color and works anyway.
Beth NC wrote: "How would you find a book with a Hazel cover?"I'm not too sure on that--I'd probably pick a different option. However, you might try a green/light brown or yellow combination of colors. Sorry I don't have any specific suggestions for you.
have to admit, this was a fun browse the library exercise to see if they had any authors with my initials - and I actually found a couple - thanks Donna Jo
I have a question. On my license I have a hyphenated last name. How do you want me to handle that? use my maiden name, my married name or both? Thanks!
Sassafrass wrote: "I have a question. On my license I have a hyphenated last name. How do you want me to handle that? use my maiden name, my married name or both? Thanks!"
Use the initial of the first part of the hyphenated name.
Sassafrass wrote: "Can I use a book with two different shades of the same color, like this:
for brown."Sure.
KSMary wrote: "So, since I am 60 inches tall, I can read any book?"As long as it is not part of a series.
So 65 inches into centimeters is 165 centimeters so I could read the first book in a series like...The Summer of Skinny Dipping?
★Meghan★ wrote: "So 65 inches into centimeters is 165 centimeters so I could read the first book in a series like...The Summer of Skinny Dipping?"You certainly can.
The hair looks good. If it's a pretty close match to your hair color it works. (If it is, you've got pretty hair.)
I'm trying to reread all of the Harry Potter books during this challenge. My eyes are blue-green, so if I pick just green, will you take the US cover for the fourth book?

Yes.
Would you consider Matilda to be an "early reader" book? I was planning to use it for part B, as it was published in 1988 (the same year I was born! :) ), but didn't even think about the fact that it might be considered an "early reader." Thanks!

Would this work for hazel/green eyes?"
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. My computer had a "terminal" problem yesterday.
That looks like a good choice for hazel. I loved that book and have reread it several times, so I hope you enjoy it too.
For initials, I actually have two sets: CC and CB. One is my maiden name, which is the name I work under, and one is my legal last name. My license has all of them, which is my full legal name, CCB. May I use either? (Actually, I probably want to use the CC.)
