Graveyard Shift was published alone in 1970 and then later put into Night Shift, so some people may have read it before it was put together

In what format? If it was in a magazine or such [edit: which Wikipedia says it was], it doesn't count as a book.

Are you sure? Your edition has it's own ISBN (unless you made that up, I don't think you did though)
Re 337/338 - Thanks; you're right.I think that I had a small panic attack when I thought that I'd screwed up.
I _did_ check the ISBN before doing the book add, didn't find a match and so did the add.
Then when I looked at the author entry I saw to my great surprise another copy of the Icelandic edition, looking superficially just the same (though with different publication date).
And it seems that then I panicked and stopped thinking rationally.
Thank goodness for this group !

It actually looks like http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11... is a DVD cover and http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11... is a cover of the soundtrack? I don't know if the online fiction was turned into an amateur movie or if they played around with covers or something... I don't think either of them are actually "covers," they seem more like related pictures to me.

Could be, but I swear I've seen covers that look like that elsewhere and I'd rather be safe than sorry.
