Linda Boyd (boydlinda95gmailcom) | 598 comments I am really enjoying that we can talk about each section of this book together. I just wish that more people would join in the conversations. I enjoy hearing everyone's thoughts....

Just throwing it out there.............

Hear, hear, Linda. I would love to see more participation in the discussions. We have some pretty good threads going, but just 3 or 4 of us are joining in. Very thought-provoking stuff going on - come join us!

Ann (annrumsey) | 466 comments Contests on your new Nook, Tom! I love my Kindle Fire and B&W Kindle2. I can't disagree; the eInk screen on the Kindle2 is easier on the eyes. Backlit color touch screens do have advantages too though.

Tom Mueller | 47 comments I haven't set it up yet, but I'm in no big rush, as I anticipate borrowing more from my Library than buying. We're not getting ebooks till Valentine's Day. Second thought, there is at least one vendor I'll be purchasing from. CEMETERY DANCE "ALL YOU CAN READ" EBOOK MEMBERSHIP FOR 2012; see http://www.cemeterydance.com/page/CDP...
CD is one of my favorite publishing houses. There are also those titles that are available ONLY in eformat. I'll be getting some of those, especially any by Uncle Stevie.
When I told my daughter I got one, she just about freaked. I'm usually one of the last holdouts for new tekkie stuff. eg. I don't have a celly (remember King's afterword to Cell!?), cable tv . . . the list goes on.
One advantage with your color is magazine presentations, although I guess they're still available for B&W readers, sans color. Other perqs?

Hey Tom: I've been seriously thinking about the Cemetery Dance eBook membership, too! And I also love Cemetery Dance Publications. I've ordered many great books from them and have a lifetime membership for their chapbooks.

Although I've not read a lot of stuff on my eBook so far, I am enjoying it so far. Still, there is nothing like holding a nice book in your hands.

I have also started listening to audio books in my car. I've heard some great stories so far: The Help (SK recommended), The Graveyard Book, and Dog on It (SK recommended). I highly recommend all 3.

Linda Boyd (boydlinda95gmailcom) | 598 comments I listened to The Help on audio and it was fantastic - I plan to look for the other 2 that you mentioned as well Debra.

Ann (annrumsey) | 466 comments Tom: With the Fire, pluses include: I am enjoying the touch screen more than I thought I would over the Kindle2 buttons to click. I do miss a "next page" button on the left side too though, sometimes when I am reading one handed. I am finding some of my low light areas more accessible to reading too with the backlit screen at night, I can read just about anywhere with the Fire. On the B&W K2 I had to raise the font size to read in dimmer light.
In general the pluses are tablet/ app related not book related. For example I can go right to Goodreads and chat about the book I am reading on it! ;)

Melissa ♥ Melissa's Eclectic Bookshelf (melissaseclecticbookshelf) I listened to this one on audio as well in the Autumn of last year! As I don't have a print copy its a bit harder to know/remember where each section is but I'm going to try to go jump in on the conversations! Can't wait for book #2!!!!
