TWILIGHT HATERS discussion
You know you hate Twilight if...

Anybody got any ideas into stopping people from trying to convert you into a 'twit..."
I ended up when one came up to me and told me that the House Of Night series which I was currently reading was shite, that I just told them to stand next to me and kneel slightly. They did so and got a book to their head. xD
I have suggested to my History class which has Twilight lovers in it, that we should watch Van Helsing. Decent Vampire DRACULA!!!

That's... frightening.
OH MY GOSH, IT'S LIKE A CULT! IT'S A CULT! THEY'RE GOING TO BRAINWASH YOU! RUUUUUNNNNNNN"
Nightshade they try doing that, I'll come after them with Werewolves, Vampire Hunters, anybody else I can find and I shall happily kill them!

I get this twisted pleasure out of watching Twilighters' reactions when I tell them that I don't like Twilight. It's even funnier when I tell them that I read all four books. And it's even BETTER when I tell them I USED to like the series, but then I saw common sense. And the best part is when I tell them that I haven't seen New Moon. >:D

*Dies laughing!* Now THAT is the best torture imaginable for the obsessive lovers! It's like you've personally insulted them with those facts! Which is absolutely perfect in my opinion! LOL

I said to people at school that yes I had read the books and had seen that after a while started to hate them. The funny thing is that I told the Cullen fan girls that he isn't good looking or anything and they stormed off saying that I had no teste in boys xD Ahhh I love annoying the Cullen fangirls xD

1. Alucard would so make the Cullens' his bitches.
2. Vampires are supposed to be nightmarish, blood-sucking, flesh shredding mosters. NOT sparkly, romantic highschoolers
3. Dracula could eat the Vulturi (or however the heck you spell it) for breakfast.
I'm not even sure how Stephanie wanted us to interpret such...an abomination such as Twilight. I don't care if you worship the ground Edward walks on, you need to realize that Twilight was based off of Meyers sexual, vampairic fantasy. It's no better than reading non-explicit porn written by fourteen year old fangirl.
*insterts picture of Robert Pattinson on red carpet* the caption: wash me. Ew.

I agree with you. Vampires aren't cute and cuddly or sparkily they are suposed to bring fear into anyone.

XD Zoe You really do hate it don't you. Discoballs amazing line. But we need the next generation of writes to know the actual basics of Vampires and we need the next generstion of readers to read decent stories and to get creativity from it.

What annoys me the most is when people call Twilight "the next Harry Potter." There is no "next" Harry Potter. Twilight isn't Harry Potter. Alex Cross isn't Harry Potter. Even Percy Jackson isn't Harry Potter. Harry Potter is Harry Potter, and that's it.
It's one of those books you can read over and over and over, and when people ask you why you've read it so many times... "There's nothing as good as this." Duh. :D

Quite frankly, Isabella, I've rehashed this argument a thousand different times, and yet once more, I'm going to reiterate it because apparently it is impossible for people- haters or not- to grasp.
I hate Twilight. I think people who read Twilight are ignorant in the context of not being able to see what utter trash the book truly is. I think said individuals are "stupid or foolish for liking that "stupid book"" as you put it. But guess what? That's my opinion, and as you so eloquently stated, "Everyone can have their own opinions and everyone has diffrent taste and like diffrent books!"
As such, your point is kind of null and void.
Although, not to be completely prickly about it, I do appreciate that you didn't come into a Twilight Hater domain and vomit utter stupidity, fire and damnation at my fellow Haters and I. That didn't go without notice, but please realize that, despite the overtly pathetic super sensitive and barf-worthy political correctness running ramped through this society, I am entitled to thinking people who have read Twilight and marginally thought it enjoyable are not the most intellectual creatures.
(Again, it's an opinion.) More importantly, being that this is the correct forum to state my opinions and sentiments, it is far more respectful that I do so here rather than traipsing into a fan site and spam their groups with insults and belittling comments. Which I have never, nor will I ever, do.
In truth, I even have a GR friend on my friends list who I happened to note while browsing through her books that she enjoyed the book Twilight. Not only have I refrained from ever even referencing Twilight and my opinions to her, but even if it were brought up in the messages exchanged between us, I would simply by pass the entire conversation with a polite "I hate the books and you're entitled to your opinion," then quickly change the subject.
My point is simply this: it is not rude to bash either a book or the reader of a certain type of book, so long as one does not go looking for said reader to antagonize and does so in the correct forum. Now, when the opposite is true, and a fan endless ranting at me for not liking the books...well. No holds barred.

I can totally respect people who like/love Twilight. I just get very annoyed when people start screaming their opinions at me as if I'll die and go to h*ll if I don't like Twilight. (I won't, by the way. :P)

Oh, I LOVE doing that! Except for the fact that I have seen New Moon and Twilight, too.

I don't think Cissnei was saying that Isabella was trying to others love Twilight. I think she was talking in the general sense sense she said "they," rather than "she." I could be wrong though.
I also want to clear up something, to all, that when I say I don't respect someone who reads Twilight, I'm not noting the type of respect where I belittle them verbally, or trash talk said person until they spontaneously combust into tears. The lack of respect I note deals with a judgment call of that person's ability to distinguish what the concept of a "good book" is, their apparent tolerance of verbal, mental, and emotional abuse in a relationship, and their inability to recognize bad writing, which then leads me to question that person's intelligence. My then judgment call to that level of intelligence is, obviously, a matter of opinion. Not necessarily right, not necessarily wrong.
Put simply, I can't respect a person's literary intelligence. That's not to say I can't have a conversation with them as to other matters, but fundamentally, I have to question their mindset as to call the Twilight series as anything but utter shite.
Hope that makes some of what I said just a bit clearer :)

:) Thanks Cissnei! And I'm with you 100%- I can be overwhelmingly tolerate of Twilight lovers in every arena but this Twilight Hater message board. I hope this doesn't sound like I'm an utter ass, but to me, I even can't understand why fans of Twilight need or want to be a part of this group. Other than to just ask questions of why we hate it, really I don't see what they need to be in here for.
Why? Several reasons. One, I don't go into Twilight Fan sites, sign up to threads there and smear a bunch of accusations, endless questions, and dictations at those Twilight lovers- so why must the opposite be true here? Honestly, in my opinion, I see no difference between my saying "people who read Twilight are stupid" being somehow horrid to say while I guarantee you in those fame fan areas, "people who hate Twilight are idiots" is being said left and right, too. And yet, knowing that, I still choose to leave them alone. That's their forum, this is ours...That may be petty and narrow minded, but quite frankly, I don't care anymore, lol.
Sorry for the random ramble! *Zips lips closed* And again- thanks for the comment!

Yeah, I know. I was talking about others trying to force me into loving Twilight, not Isabella (thankfully). Isabella, fortunately, seems to be one of the mentally sane Twilight lovers, which is definitely a good thing. :)

Amen to that, Nightshade!
I didn't patronize Isabella in my words by saying I was thankful in noticing she wasn't foaming at the mouth with Twilight Obsession and Insanity. I really did mean that. I know there are people out there who enjoy the books that aren't totally nuts- which I'm thankful for- despite not being able to understand how the hell it's possible to find any enjoyment from those books.
To me, they're nothing but Round Two of the Spanish Inquisition :|

Jacqueline you are right that it was in general, people who like twilight around me espically ar school, gahh it does my head in and I don't see why they are trying to convert me into loving it, I'm sorry but no, I'll stick to who I am a person whose read the books an not really liked them. I am me and no one nor a book can change that.

Your welcome as I do agree with you fully, and I dodn't see the point in them asking questions that are pretty obvious if they read the before posts and such.

rtunity for people to express their hatred for twilight. (saathi-meaning ; friend)
we actually are Anne and Dyna(these are our nick names taken from anne of green gables), We are two teenage girls who are fed up to know that a lot of girls of our age are obsessed with this "TUBELIGHT" series and most of all fell in love with the one and only, the most handsome the dazzling angelic beauty "DEADWARD CULLEN".How can we say that these vampires are dead when they walk, talk,go to high school and even play baseballand don't 4get deadward once took a bite of what so called human food to please his girlfriend. At first we will be writing our first review on twilight series in general and why we really hate it.
First and foremost we hate it coz it is a book thats widely been known and appreciated, awarded, credited , etc. which annoys us . Cmon a series like twilight absolutely doesnot deserve this much appreciation and the millions of fanship of girls who have gone crazy behind twilight. And why is Bella so special that edward can't read her mind(she's the only one in the whole wide world) and volturi vampires can't do their magic talents or anything on her but alice can see her future and jasper can control her emotions(how great!)and all the boys in her school wants to have a date with her....
Secondly we fell pity to all those people who luv it. As some of the stuffs in twilight is clearly made to make us sympathize the character Bella. for eg. its shown in eclipse that bella visits Jacob even though Edward doesnt like it as she considers herself to be responsible for giving hope to Jacob about their relationship . But why for heaveans sake doesnt anybody realize this, that Bella need not do all this bcoz even if she chose Jacob over Edward , Jacob will leave her as he never got imprinted on Bella . So when he gets imprinted how much ever stong his love for Bella would be it would vanish for thats the power of imprinting and stephenie meyer herself gives the biggest example for this-sam and leah's relationship.
Thirldy we hate twilight bcoz of the never ending description about Edwards velvety voice, stone frozen chest , etc. that is written every other page and the unbearable cheesy dialogues that makes it more annoying and neverthless stupid .
Fourth , is the lack of proper organization or power in the storyline and constant loose morals .
Fifth its clearly evident that this book was meant to addict or attract people with is 110% perfect looking vampire Edward Cullen .
This story doesnt show love thats divine or sweet one which everyone would read and say "wow its beautifull"
. From beginning to end its about how people get atracted to one another for their physical appearance rather than their character and how love relationships are formed on this basis.
A truly uninspirational , boring series of book that just waste ur time and more sad is that no one seems to realize it they just see a shining , handsome looking Edward who admires his girlfriend while she is sleeping (so cheap).

*Laughs* I'm very much glad you were able to take that comment, knowing what I'm talking about as far as the Spanish Inquisition, and not spaz into a fit of "OH MY GOD YOU'RE THE DEVIL BECAUSE" ____ Fill in the blank. *Dies laughing*
As such, it really, REALLY is beyond torturous some of the things Twi-Tards put so many through! *Sighs*

Amen Cissnei! I think that's exactly my point- that these Twi-lovers don't know to leave well enough alone. I'm not meaning ALL of them, of course, but still- there does exist a large percentage that makes the normal, sane ones seem loony too. I just don't understand the apparent sadistic mentality a fan of any entertainment- singer, writer, artist- would have to be a member of a Hater group. It's only going to lead to argument or anger on their part.

I don't think Cissnei was saying that Isabella was trying to others love Twilight. I think she was talkin..."
Exactly. Why do they have to join a group thats called 'TWILIGHT HATERS' if they love Twilight. Ok if they think its the best book in the world and that no other books should be reead then they are idiots as there are alot of decent such as Dracula, Carmilla and Count Magnus.

I don't think Cissnei was saying that Isabella was trying to others love Twilight. I t..."
Precisely! It's like their idiocy and retardation for the Twilight "saga" (which I find utterly ridiculous these books are being referred to as such) knows no bounds!

I guess maybe their mentality is that because the books contain over 200 pages, and that they're the only books most Twi-tards have read, it's automatically a "saga."
Pathetic to the most extreme!

It's like I always say- I hate book burning practices, but Twilight is the one series that I so badly want to burn in effigy, if not reality!
:)

*Grabs candle lighter...(because that's as close as my hands will ever get to a flame :|)...and proceeds to set ablaze every copy of Twilight in the world!*

WAIT.
You have to leave a copy of Eclipse and one of Breaking

*Grabs smoldering said copies and tapes them back together*
Somehow I think the ashy, smoldering burn marks actually work to improve the book! :)

Though I am an avid hater! I believe in all things being balanced :D...As such, for the stupid, retarded, overwhelmingly laughable crazed fan-girl, there's me. Kicking-and-screaming, Anti-Twilighter filled with posion-hatred for said atrocious series!
Balance is so much fun :)

*Nods enthusiastically* Yep, yep, indeed I am. I'm about as obsessed with the Dark-Hunters as I hate the Twilight series, lol. All things in balance :).
And no...despite my very french name, and about 8 months of French 1 my freshman year in '04, lol- I can't speak it. I can count to ten in said language, though. *Dies laughing* I moved around constantly when I was in school- four years of high school, four different schools. As such I'm lucky I can remember my own name, let alone having learned anything else in school.
(And the weird thing is that I'm often considered a nerd :|- there's real irony for ya!)

Run 'em over with a bus? Smack them in the face with a cement block?
LOL Ohh, better yet, make them read real entertaining literature, such as the Dark-Hunter series, or Dracula? Anne Rice, anyone? *Chuckles*
And, correct me if I am wrong, but am I the only one who finds it weird that Twilight lovers refer to themselves as twitards? Twi-Tard. As in, Twilight-Retard? Hm. It's definitely a thought.

(Also, please no one jump on my case about my use of the word "retard." I find no offense in the word and intend no offense to others. I don't support the "end the word" campaign, obviously.)
(Also also- I'm sorry all for the quick defense, but otherwise I end up getting a half-million insults if I don't)
