Twilight is horrible! This is Edward: Ohh, look at me! I'm so awesome! I glitter in the light! OOOOO!What the crap? What the heck is with glittering? I mean seriously, they eat people, and they glitter. That does not make sense... Also, the book format is horrible. My brother said his girlfriend had it in audio and he had to listen to it. IT IS TERRIBLE! Okay, it is only about one stupid thing. Stephanie Meyer... Ohhh.... she just can't think of anything! She was just to lazy to think about how her books focas completly around one thing. There is no escape. It is all about EdwardxBella. And those of you Twilight lovers, I'm right. You might be like, 'no! It has action, and lots of other stuff.' Yes, but they all revolve around EdwardxBella. The action is because Bella tastes sweet, and she is the weak point to the other vamps. It is just one thing! ONE! Can't you do better than that, Meyer? I can! J.K. Rowling and the Harry Potter books, for instance. You have Harry being immensly powerful. GinnyxHarry, Harry's crushes, Dumdledore's past, Ron's awesome stupidity, Voldemort, the deathly hallows... you can take everything in Twilight, and fit it under the column, EdwardxBella, all of it. Harry Potter, has separate catagories.
People, people. Understand somethings, because I used to be obsessed with a series I thought was amazing. But, doing that very process and really looking at what I was reading, I noticed that it was horrible. Open your eyes, and read the words.

Just replying to message 14. I am a guy and I do like the Twilight series. But, I am not one of these stupid Twilight "Cult" people who rave about it. I read Twilight a few months after it came out, before it was popular.

I have a few guy-friends who I know (for a fact) that have read and liked the Twilight Saga - though they'd never admit it publicly. I'd start a standing ovation or something, but I doubt anybody'd join in with me.

Yep, thats why I joined. I read excessively and mostly only the girls I know are with me on twilight. Im wondering if any of you have read "SM's" The Host. That, in my opinion was better than the twilight series, especially breaking dawn(I didn't like how she ended it).
It actually was better than than Twilight - she gave another dimension to Edward. He's not just lusting for Bella's blood - there's a whole psychological struggle going on. Breaking Dawn's ending was weak. Extremely.

Bella ends up with everything she wants in the end without learning one single thing about life.
The books are bad because they degrade women and set the woman's movement back about 90 years. The women in the books are passive,clingy and sometimes down right stupid. The only interest they have is falling in love and having babies. Bella's mother had a child young, Bella had a child young and Esme and Rosalie want babies more then anything. Oh and Alice ( the only character from these books that I liked ) loved to shop.
The character of Edward is mentally abusive, is a stalker and only thinks about himself. The whole stupid plot of Edward leaving Bella in the second book was all about how he felt, it had nothing to do with protecting Bella it was selfish and to make things worse, New Moon ended up glamorizing depression and suicide in a way I didn't even think was possible.
Bella is a weak character, it is sad to me when a supporting character outshines the main character and Alice outshines Bella by a mile. Not only is Bella a weak character she is dumb, mean spirited and spoiled.
The whole first book she called her dad, Charlie and not dad, to the point of it being rude. She had great friends, that not only welcomed her to the school nicely but befriended her instantly, but she picked the Cullen's over them because the Cullen's were more interesting.
She was a horrible daughter to her father and was an even worse daughter to her mother. She had no respect for her mother and you can tell Meyer really has some bones to pick with women that decided to be single and not only raise the child but are free and who don't conform to the get married have babies way of life.
I really could say more but I need to go make dinner. The books are just bad. I can tell you that you can cut each book by 200 pages and still tell the same story.

I read all 4 books because my niece just discovered reading and asked me to join her on the Journey. I recently got very sick and needed garbage to read so I read them again. Do you know that you can read New Moon starting on page 382 and still follow the book and not need to read the first 1-381 pages.
THAT IS A CRIME TO WRITING.
One last thing. Any book that tries to make it alright for grown men to be partnered for life with a 2 year old child and an infant that was less then an hour old is kinda f'ed if you ask me.

OK this is for all you "Haters" of the book Twilight and the series, If you guys start a web site about the book y does it have to be a hate site ? i mean come on there a lot of ppl that hate the book too but you dont see them whining like little babys that dont know what to do. We're only j@ck@ss to the rabid fangirls who posted the comments seen above (yes these are real comments taken from this site). I didn't say fanboys because they're extremely polite about loving twilight so therefore we don't scream profanity or insults at them unlike most twilight lovers. I have met a couple twilight lovers who were actually polite and listened to our side of the story before jumping on us and biting our heads off. And I had really appreciated that. Personally if you liked that book it's fine, as long as you don't force everyone around you to worship that book.
Third, we talk about it because this is a twilight hater's group -points at the sign- see?
Fourth, it's kind of hard to ignore the fangirls when they squeal in your ears about how "great" it is, and how everyone should be worshiping it. It really does a huge amount of damage on your eardrums and brain.
Fifth, we're not "haters" we're twilight Haters. Plus hate and love are two-sides of the same coin. You can't love without hating and you can't hate without loving. We just chose to hate twilight and love something more worth our time.
Sixth, I appreciated your comment. Most of the time it's "OMG YOU GUYS HAVE NO LIVES AND GET BULLIED AT SCHOOL AND YOUR BULLIES LIKE twilight SO THAT'S WHY YOU HATE twilight AND YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS!!!!!" or something like that. That was a comment rewritten from memory.
