I found this very interesting group today where the people who create Goodreads post their thoughts and new website releases. Its very interesting and also explains quite a few of the new Goodreads features that are being made available to us. Just an FYI :)

Roxy I loved your suggestions and when I read it I swore there was already something like that because I thought I had done that when I was random requests but I couldnt find it.
But today I was clicking around in my profile and they do have that feature. Lol I thought they did because I remember setting up my question.

If you go to your profile and on the right hand side click you want to edit your preferences at the bottom of that page you can set up a "challange question" and the person has to be able to answer the question before they can request a friend connection.

Anyone who asks to be my friends has to answer the question I put up there correctly or it doesn't send me the request.

thought Id share it's not easily found if you don't know about...sheesh it took me a week to find it and I did remember it was there.

Sorry for the way delayed response. The challenge question has a correct answer. The question I am proposing does not. Examples....

Current Challange Question set up:
Q: What is my favorite color? (you set an answer)
A: Blue (requesting friend can get it wrong)

Open Answered Question:
Q: What thread have we chatted on? (I don't set a answer but rather see what the tell me so I can figure out who they are without having to dig through their profile.)
A:.....whatever requesting friends wants it to be. No wrong or write.
