Daniel (wcvworg) | 11 comments Greetings and salutations - new librarian here.

I have just checked and noticed that my copy of Podkayne of Mars is one with the original ending. As noted in the Wikipedia entry below (beware - it has spoilers), Heinlein was forced to change his final ending but later versions switched back to his original version or featured both.

What would be the best way of noting which ending an ISBN featured. Obviously I would stick with general wording ("Original ending" or "Author's ending") so as to not spoil anything, but it would be really nice for purposes of keeping track of what folks have as well as letting others know that there is an alternate that they should look into...

EDIT: I can't believe I completely forgot the link. *palmface*

Those are actually the two possibilities that had crossed my mind. I'm leaning towards description, but figured I should seek reassurance since I'm new and there may be some standard that's already been established.

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments There is no standard for that it, I don't have a preference, wait a while others may chip in then go with Description :)

Chuck | 51 comments I would think that would go into the edition field, but I can't see as how it would make a big difference if it was just in the description field.
