A Gathering of Light

Hi, all! I have an historical romance out: it's called "A Gathering of Light". It is set during and after the Civil War. The second book in the series should be out around the end of January, 2012.

"A Gathering of Light" opens in the Virginia timber, at the Battle of the Wilderness. Hixson Morris is gut shot and dying. Beautiful, mysterious Sarah Westbay saves his life by using her unique gift for healing. Unknown to her at the time, by saving Hixson she will save herself.

I was a freshman in high school when we were given a creative writing assignment: to use a clipping from the library's historic newspaper collection and write a fictional story based on that. I read the story of a Southern teenager. She was an orphan, living alone and was attacked by a band of renegades. I didn't write about it then, but I imagined a different ending for that young woman. "A Gathering of Light" is that story.

Thank you, Sandi! "A Light in the Mountains" is a companion book, more than a true sequel. My female main character in the first book makes a sort of cameo appearance in the second. Oh, and just wait to see what happens in the third! LOL.

I love swashbuckling romantic pirate reads!I also mod a group "Pirate Romance" Southern Romance is my next Favorite..a dashing hero in uniform..yes?:D

A literary agent helps you find publishers. They sort of go to bat for you and promote your book and try to get you the best deal.

i have a fanstsy book still in the works and i need some advice on a relationship between a mistress and her slave, both are teens.
my villian she was a daughter of a plantation owner who was in love with a male slave, anyway he had her pregnant.

and in her past i am writeing its forbidden to have romanic relationship with the slaves whats some good punishments for the slave and daughter?.

they going on the run with thair first child, they will have a second but her fathr will catch them both.
