SOLVED!: Help me find this book please [s]

So the book is about a family of sisters who all work together in a restaurant. One of the sisters has gotten out of the town though and got married. She wants children and has tried but is unable to have any and she was going to adopt but the girl backed out at the last minute.
Then it goes into this girls story: the girl is in her teens and she lives with her mom who likes to party and hook up with guys. She always says that her life would have been different if her daughter hadn't been born and that her daughter should never have kids. Well somehow her daughter gets pregnant and then her mom leaves her.
The woman and the girls life somehow connect and the woman starts to care for this girl like she is her daughter. She takes her shopping for a dress and eventually takes her into her own home. The girl starts to feel like part of the family and when she gets pregnant she wants the woman to have her baby. The woman wants to trust this girl but she knows that somewhere in the back of her mind that this girl may do what the girl before did (backing out at the last minute)
The girl ends up freaking out and running away but in the end she gives the woman her baby and says that she hopes that she will be allowed to visit it a lot.

ok, I know this book. I'm trying to remember it. It's by a fairly well know women's fiction author, but not steele or delinsky....I'll figure it out

Thank you so much. I kept thinking steele but then I was like no it can't be her. Then I thought maybe Kristen Hannah but I can't seem to find it in her books either. Thanks for helping me though this has been bugging me that I can't figure it out.
