Although being in this group for a long time, I have not been active which I'll do my best to change from now on. I’m Abbie and I’m from the UK. I love reading, listening to music, colouring, watching tv shows and films. I wanted to get back into reading as I loved it so much when I was younger and recently got back into so I then decided to join goodreads. Theresia, I visit Germany a lot, since I have relatives there. My aunt lives in Lindflur, about 10 minutes from Würzburg! I was born in Kitzingen but lived in Hüttenheim. It really is a beautiful area of Germany.

Hello Everyone! I've been an armchair tourist for many years. Prior to that I lived in West Africa for 2 years, traveled to Greece, Germany, England, Mexico, Canada, the Bahamas, and Venezuela. I try and read a variety of genres but my favorite is historical fiction. I love books set in other countries so I can learn about the culture and experience a little of it, even if it's only vicariously. I also enjoy history, and at the moment I'm reading a perfect pandemic book: The Year of Wonders, which takes place in England during the plague. It's inspired by an actual village called Eyam. Looking forward to exploring this group and chatting with you all. Be well!

I've been working on the Around the World challenge for two years now (I incorporated autonomous regions and disputed territories into my list, so it's over 250 books long). I'm getting close to finishing! I've joined late, but this has been the best literary journey I've ever done.
I adore learning about different countries, cultures, politics and historic events. If you guys have any recommendations for my next book list, feel free to share!
