Hello, Edith! Welcome to the group! I hope you will enjoy your recent acquisitions about women travelers. Sounds like very interesting reading.

Please follow my blog http://amyheughauthor.wordpress.com/
I thank you!

I'm a military spouse, mother of 3 daughters, and a Ph.D. student living in Germany (near Nürnberg)! I have a love of Latin American authors, especially my literary crush Eduardo Gale..."
Hi, Danielle! Welcome to the group! I have yet to read Galeano, but I have one of his books on my list of books to read this year. I have heard lots of good things about his writing.

Hi, Margrét! Welcome to the group!

Like Margret, I am still learning my way around this group so please have patience with me!
Sonja

I have just finished To kill a mockingbird, and I started Catch 22.
In case you're interested in some Latin American literature, i'd be glad to chip in my suggestions for a book of the month.
Hello everybody, my name is Maggie and I am a warehouse supervisor in Ontario. I am a little bit of a homebody, so I really love travelling the world through my reading material. :) I adore all genres, and am always looking for new titles to try out.

I'm not sure if I'll try for 80 in a year, but I'll definitely be mining the "Books Set In..." section to try to fill in some of the blank spaces on the map!

Hi, Kelly! Welcome to the group!

I am new to Good Reads and was drawn to this group as I enjoy traveling and reading. As a child I especially enjoyed historical fiction which took place in other countries. I admit thi..."
Hi, Melanie. Welcome to the group! I honestly don't know of a tutorial for Goodreads or for groups in general. There really should be one. There really is a lot to the website. I have been on the site for a few years and I am still finding and learning new things here. It can be overwhelming. If I do find a tutorial, I will certainly let you know.

Yes. It is right here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...

I look forward to being a part of this group!

Welcome to the group, Shailja!

Hi, Emma. I have had those same obsessions since childhood as well. Welcome to the group!

My name is Elizabeth, I was an English major many moons ago in college, and I'm an avid reader. I'm also a freelance writer and aspiring author. I'm currently nearing completion of my first book, which is a memoir about becoming a yoga teacher.
Cheers!

Hi, Elizabeth! Best of luck on your new book!
Hi, I'm Darlene. I'm in process of cataloguing my huge book collection and desire to read more books from around the world. Your group looks like just the thing for me. I'm intending to keep a log of books read and do this for at least a year. I may be watching the group until the end of the year, participating in a few book discussions as I read along and jumping in in 2015 with more participation. I hope this will be okay with the group.

Hippies in the Andes/Freedom Pure Freedom
tries to preserve that innocent voice and is pretty much exactly how the books were written 39 years ago.

I've lived most of my life now in Africa, with a time in India, so I have a lot of normal, everyday experience on both continents, in both anglophone and francophone countries.
I didn't intend to overwrite on the first hello, but once I figure out how all this works, and when the power is on here, I hope to join in on discussions, maybe answer questions people may have about the parts of Africa I am familiar with, to read and ask other folks here their opinions and inputs. Many thanks! T.K. Naliaka

I love traveling, although I haven't really traveled as much as I would have loved to. However, I have traveled vicariously, both through books and my husband, who travels a lot for work and is often in really interesting places.
I have always been interested in reading books about different countries, both fiction as well as non fiction and I was planning on getting to it seriously from 2015, when I stumbled upon this group and found it a perfect place to experience and share these journeys.
So looking forward to having a great journey around the world in the future through books and if time and tide permits, I hope I can really travel to all these place. Hoping for some great conversations on books and travels with all of you.

The name of this group attracted me very much. Hope for a great number of book suggestions. Love to be here.

I'm guessing a lot of us feel that way.
