Welcome, Catherine. How easy is it to get to the Tarxien temples from the cruise port?

I'd love guidance on adding my book to the bookshelf. I wanted to add to the Malta section but find it on the main list, looking silly, as I rated it myself. Any help for a newbie would be appreciated.

Hi, Catherine! Welcome! I am always excited to see new books about hard-to-find book destinations like Malta. I added your book to the bookshelf and the Malta thread.
Catherine wrote: "Thank you. It would be best to hire a driver. You could contact my wonderful tour guide, Pat Flores Martin at patfloresmartin@hotmail.com" Thanks! We're still in the dreaming/planning stage. I may have more questions for you later.

Welcome to the group, Jessica! I hope you are staying warm up there in Ontario!

To Osho:
Planning ahead might allow you to make reservations to see the Hypogeum, sister temple to Tarxien, carved three stories underground. Nothing else like it in the world!

Hello, Bryn! Looks like you have come to the right place! Glad to have you as part of the group!

Welcome, Karie! Travel and books are my favorite combo. I am so glad you have joined us!

My name is Annie, and I live just outside Portland, Oregon. I grew up in Sweden, have a German husband and two tri-lingual kids. I love travel and novels, and leaning about new places and cultures through literature. Most of my travels involved back-packing around Europe as a teenager, and I've never been to Asia, Africa or South America. I'm looking forward to exploring new countries in this literary trip around the world!

Hi, Max! You have lived in a lot of exotic localities and I'll bet you have had some great adventures. It definitely can't be easy to settle down after all that!
I wish you much luck in your attempt to do so. Glad to have you in the group!

Welcome to the group, Annie! You and your husband must have some great experiences to share with your kids about growing up and traveling in Europe. It is wonderful that you have raised your children to speak your native languages. I grew up in a bilingual household, but English was the only language spoken to me. Trying to go back and learn another language as an adult is much harder!

Hi, Sig! Welcome to the group! You have come to the right place for those who love to red and travel!

Andrea, look at the comment box below. Above the box you will see a link that says "add book/author". Click on the link and a new box will appear. Type the title of the book in and hit the "search" button. Find your book in the drop-down menu and hit the "add" button. Your book's link should now be embedded in your comment.

Hi, Sherah! Welcome to the group! You have truly been all over the world, and to so many culturally different places. What a great experience that must be. I would love to hear about some of the favorite books you have read from the countries you have lived or traveled to. I am happy to have you as part of the group!

Bruchim ha-baim and welcome, Sherah and Jennifer.

Welcome to the group, Jennifer!

i know one very very "International" book. It is a piece of children's literature called "starry starry night" by Jimmy Laio, was made into a lovely movie. I want to get a hold of this book !!
Also, Le Petit Prince is french, and I like reading English classic literature.

Welcome, Pamela!

I'm German, have been traveling "by book" for many years and have also been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to live outside Germany for a number of years (in various parts of the U.S., with extended stints in Paris in between). I'm looking forward to finding books set in countries I have not yet visited -- either in person or in print --, recording my "finds" here, and deepening my acquaintance with the literature of countries I have already visited in the past.

Welcome, Paschalia! You have such a lovely name! What pat of Greece are you from? I visited Athens and a few of the islands several years ago. Greece is such a beautiful place.

Welcome back Tammy! I am so glad you will be traveling with us again this year!

Nicky from Belgium checking in!
Being at the heart of Europe has many advantages (besides chocolate :3 ), especially travel-wise. I love to have great cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, etc relatively nearby.
On top of that, my crazy country, being as little as it is, just could not decide on one main language and instead "chose" to have 3. So I'm very blessed to be exposed to many different influences at a young age.
Over the past 29 years I've developed a taste for languages and culture, which peaked during my years at uni, since I had the luminous (*ahem*) idea to study Japanese.
I love meeting people from all over the world and I love visiting and discovering new places and cultures both in real life and through books.
Looking forward to travelling with you!

Welcome, Nicky! Belgium sounds like a great place, besides having some of the best chocolate in the world. I hope to travel there some day.

My name is Dolly. Right now, I live in Chester, Virginia. We are a military family, so this is true for only a short time. I have always loved books based in other cultures, so I am looking forward to all of the recommendations from other group members.
This is my first group, so if I'm doing it all wrong, don't hesitate to let me know.
