Manuel (argran) | 292 comments hey, I love the whole saga, is my favorite novel, and even my father readed it too and he liked it, I don't really like so much when Bella talks too much about how "hot" Edward is :/, but I really love the story and the narrative of the book, actually I readed Midnightsun and I prefer the perspective of Edward, I mean straight guys can love romance too

Well, there are hermaphrodites too...

That's true. I know a few a guys that can take a good romance. And even though I'm a female, I got a little bugged by the descriptions too.

Lauren (wolfgirl637) | 152 comments I know, I really think it shows what kind of fuy you are to read books like Twilight. It shows real character. Plus, I think Stephanie Meyer created a believeable girl as a character, u know, doesn't think she's pretty, awkward, clutzy, kind of hides behind her hair, and it makes me happy to know some guys might start to understand how some of us girls feel by reading the book.

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

Not all girls are like Bella, but guys can definitely see some of the emotions that girls go through.

message 56: by Crystal (new)

Crystal (crystalfairy) well I'm not against guys reading twilight at all but I do think it's kinda awkward just because it's from bella's point of view and because bd has some sexual stuff in it and well
idk but if they want to read it, I say go for it

Valerie (valeriejean33) | 7 comments i dont have anything against guys reading twilight but i does seem odd when i see a guy reading it. my ex-boyfriend told me he read it and he liked it it seemed odd to me but hey whatever floats ur boat. it is a good book so if guys wanna read it go ahead.

Tiny ♥Hearts (tinyhearts) I find it somehow hot in a way lmao i mean the guy dont have to like the books but reading it *shrug* a little hot haha!! and besides the whole cast has read them and majority are boys lmao yes they're supposed to be reading them to get an insight of their character but if I saw someone hot reading these books Ill be like yay! one thing in common already haha!! nah lol maybe a little awkward if the guy said OMG Im team edward then yeah...a little a strange lmao I personally dont know a guy who has read the series YET lmao

Manuel (argran) | 292 comments what can I say???, I'm reading Eclipse for the third time and is not even my favorite book XD

message 60: by Tiny (last edited Nov 17, 2009 04:57PM) (new)

Tiny ♥Hearts (tinyhearts) totally!! I seen an interview with Bronson Pallitier (Jared) here in NZ, say that he loved Eclipse, but most people (guys in particular) dont admit they like twilight or read them lmao I know guys who are fond of the movie, because of the insane powers the vampires have and they're the type of guys you wouldnt even think would look twice at it, so I think its awesome if guys read these, and plus it might come in handy if they wanna know exactly what qualities girls like in a man...minus the stalker thing lmao (not totally speaking for every single girl on the universe) but majority love a man who fuses over them and protects them to the point its ridiculous lmao gives them a sense of security I guess

Kira Light (kiralight) | 2 comments it is a bit shoking but i dont really mind i find it cute, my brother read it 2 times and he is more exited than me about the movie twilight and new moon!!! tout le monde a le choix!

message 63: by Jaci (new)

Jaci Olson (juggalette4lyfe) | 25 comments I don't think it should matter if a guy is seen reading twlight or new moon or any of the twlight saga books. Its there choice if they want to read them they can.

message 64: by Jo (last edited Nov 30, 2009 12:38AM) (new)

Jo Singh | 20 comments My husband read the books just after I finished the series, because I kept bugging him too.

Jo: Come on you have to read it, pleeeaaase, so I have someone to talk to, about it.

Husband: No way I ain't reading it. I'm a rugby playing, beer drinking kinda guy.

2 days later

Husband is on the laptop for a reeally long time.

Jo: What are you doing?

Husband: Nothing

Jo peeks over husbands shoulder and what does she see?
Husband reading twilight. LOL

He enjoyed it and read the whole series, but is not obsessed. (so he says)

Jo loves it!

Because now she has someone who will listen to her ranting and raving besides her 1 year old daughter who can't talk back.

M (readergirl67) Whenever I see a guy with a twilight book I think "Is he desperate to relate to the ladies or something". But hey, maybe they have good intentions.

Manuel (argran) | 292 comments that's true

message 76: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chrysalide) My husband read them before I did. My sister was a huge fan so he decided to try to read the books and he loved it. After that my sister and him tried to make me read the books and it's how I became a fan too.

Like he told me, it's not just a story for women. It's simply a great story to read and most men are intimitaded by the fact that it's mostly girls who are fans. So they assume that it's a "Harlequin", "Chik-lit" type of story, but it's much more.

message 77: by M (new)

M (readergirl67) That is so cool! I will try to make my brothers read them, but it won't work.

message 78: by Erica Alyson (new)

Erica Alyson (ericaalyson12) | 8 comments I don't think it's awkward seeing anyone read Twilight. I think it's awesome. I have been begging my boyfriend to read it so he can understand my obsession, but the closes I can get it having him watch the movie.

message 79: by Lydia (new)
