Dj halted. There was no more lightning or thunder. "Yay!" She jumped up and down, doing a happy dance. She had forgotten Vernon saw still there. Damn it.
He looked at her surprisingly before hugging her back, "You're welcome. So do you wanna go some place else?"
Saruah led Chase into the stables. She ran up to the horse she rode a lOng one ago.
Chase followed after her, looking at the horses. He stopped next to a one that was a chestnut color, and stood in front of it. The two stared at one another for a long moment, regarding each other. Chase tilted his head to one side, and placed a hand on the horses forehead, watching it curiously. The horse snorted softly, lifting its head to sniff at Chase's hand.
Sariah gently ran her fingers over the gray one's mane and smiled at it. The horse was her most favorite animal since a guy long ago taught her to ride. She grabbed the reins and started tugging out of te spot. "Come on." she said softly, pulling it a bit harder.
Chase looked over, then walked over to her and the horse. He looked at the horse, who stilled, looking back at him. He took the reins from Sariah, and tugged gently, the horse immediately stepping out of the stall, looking at Chase curiously. Chase led it away, gazing back into its eyes before handing the reins to Sariah, and looking at her.
Sariah watched him with amazement. That had been so cool to see the horse obey him. She gave him a smile. "Thanks." she said before she led the horse to saddle him. She tied him on a post and started humming while she put the saddle on his back. She carefully got under and worked the belt before she finished up proud of herself.
Chase nodded, watching her for a moment Once he was done, and feeling satisfied, he led his horse over to her, and stopped, wondering why she was so surprised. "It's not that hard to get them to follow," he told her with a shrug, as if it was no big deal.
Sariah nodded a little. "True. But thanks anyways." she said pushing herself Onto the horse. A smile lite her face. She just hoped he would give her a real smile. She also wanted him to enjoy this more than anything.
Chase nodded, climbing onto his horse, and shrugged. "It's no problem," he said, huffing softly. He gently kicked his horse a little, urging it to step out of the stables. It trotted around in a few circles in front of the stables. Surprisingly, Chase was actually pretty good at controlling the horse and telling it where he wanted it to go. Chase huffed softly, pausing at the open gate, ready to run out onto a small trail that lead through a meadow nearby.
Sariah smoothed out her horse's mane and followed after, or rather let the horse guide her to his destination. She felt so free riding. The wind brows through her hair making her feel like she was flying. Maybe she could fly wih Chase. WAs that something he liked to do?
Chase looked over, seeing her follow, and murmured something to the horse. The horse suddenly broke out into a run, flying through the meadow as the wind whipped Chase's hair wildly around. He closed his eyes and for a moment, and he imagined he was flying through the clouds in his Griffin form. A small smile crept onto his lips at the thought, and for the first time in a long while, it was a real smile. He felt like he hadn't gone flying in forever, even though it had only been a few months sine he dis.
Sariah let the horse guide her to where he wanted to go. A stream ran through and they stopped there. She hopped off the horse and let him drink while she took off her shoes and stepped into the cool water. "It feels good." she whispered. Tempted to strip off her shirt and spread her wings. Just being on the back of a horse made her want to fly and it had been forever since she had felt so good.
Chase followed after her,.his eyes reopening to look at her. He stopped the horse next to hers, and slid off, feeling his skin ripple. He sighed longingly, letting his horse drink from the stream once more. The thought of flying made him smile once more. He glanced at her, and before he realized it, he was changing into a griffin. He sighed softly as he grew a little larger, and when the change was complete, he spread his wings, stretching them as he did, and shaking out his feathers.
Sariah had seen the smile right before the change. She couldn't believe it. He had given her a real smile. Well not her but still… "You're beautiful." she mumbled mesmerized. She took a step towards him. But then stopped herself. She turned her back to him and took of her shirt. Her white feathered wings were large as the spread out on her back.
Chase looked at her, though he wasn't really surprised. Angels were supposed to have wings, right? He snorted softly, looking at her, a sparkle of amusement in his eyes as he beat his wings and took off into the sky, flying over the meadow. He couldn't smile in this form, but he felt his heart leap with joy as he felt the wind whip past his feathers.
Sariah smoothed out her feathers and looked towards the sky. Her really looked so much more wonderful than she could have eer thought. But while she actually appreciated him, he seemed as if he hated her. She flapped her wings for a moment but diet actually take flIght. She couldn't brin herself to ruin this moment. She folded her wings and put back on her shirt than went over to the horses to care for them.
Chase flew around for a long moment before heaving a sigh. He blinked, realizing Sariah hadn't joined him, and flew back down to see what was wrong. He landed next to her, huffing softly, and padding over, folding his wings. He went over and nudged her a little roughly, but not too roughly, more playful actually. He tilted his head to one side, cooing softly, his eyes wide as he expected her to take off into the sky.
Sariah moved slightly with his nudge but otherwise stayed pretty still. "You sure you want an angel to join you?" she asked, raising her eyebrow at him. She couldn't believe that he had actually come back for her. She felt her heart soften even more for this guy. Her eyes were soft as she stared at this beautiful creature.
Chase gave her a look as if to say, "Why wouldn't I?" He huffed softly, nudging her once more, then turning, and taking off into the sky once more, letting out the sharp cry of an eagle as he soared over head, willing her to come and join him. He twisted around in the air, his wings flapping madly as he flew back down, speeding inches past her, then soaring back up into the sky.
Sariah rolled her eyes and stripped off her shirty once again, flapping her wings to straighten them out before she jumped. Lettin her wings take her up in the sky. Her eyes closed as she let herself go. Her wings took over and she flew.
Chase watched, wishing he could grin, but his beak would not allow such a thing. He flew above her, looking down at her a moment before circling down to fly next to her, looking at her with amusement sparkling in his eyes.
Sariah opened one of her eyes and wore a straight face before she flashed him this big beautiful smile. She loved flying so much. And she missed heaven, but when flying she could be there. She was there every second she was in flight. She soared higher and higher. Loving the freedom or te way the birds sang to her.
Chase watched her, amazed at how beautiful she looked when she flied. He watched her for a long moment, surprised he hadn't noticed before. He sighed softly, looking away, and wondering for a long moment how he had missed such a fact.
Sariah sighed contently as she made her way back to him. This moment had actually made her day complete. "Thank you." she murmured to him, though she wasn't completely tired of flying. "And by the way, i go you smiling! So again thank you."
Chase blinked, a little surprised, but even more surprised at her last comment. He blinked once more, and nodded, wishing he could smile once more for her, but his damned beak would allow it. He felt his wings begin to ache anyways as he floated back down to the ground, standing next to the horses as he changed back into his human form.
Sariah landed gracefully and picked up her shirt, tossing it over her shoulder and for further references. She was wearing bra. Anyhow, she tucked he wings carefully before tugging her shirt on over her head. Her hair became a mess that looked like it was more asscioated with rats nests.
Chase looked at her a long moment, smiling brightly at her, and sighing softly. "That was... well fun," he told her, tilting his head to one side as he watched her curiously. "You okay?"
Sariah nodded wih this huge grin on her face and seeing his smile made it ten times worse. "It was perfect." she held herself back from tackling him. Because if she did tackle him she'd probably kiss him too.
Chase nodded, smiling softly. "Good," he murmured, stretching his arms above his head. "Well," he said, his smile finally fading. "I guess we should ride back," he murmured, running his fingers through his hair.
Sariah nodded slowly, heading back to her horse. She hopped up on him and gave Chase a daring look. "RAce ya back?"
Chase hopped onto his horse and looked at her, a challenge in his eyes. "Your on," he said, flashing a grin. He turned the horse around, and instantly raced off, back to the stables.
Saruah started off a little late. She could see him ahead and kicked the horse's side. "Come on!" she cheered on the horse, grabbing the horse. She needed him to hurry because she didnt want to lose.
