Ella (ellarosewood) | 138 comments One of the role players in my group is trying to take over, maybe not purposely, but it is annoying. I tried talking to her, but she got mad, and threatened to leave. She always is telling people to stop spamming, get on topic, and use third person. How can I get her to stop without leaving?

*Notice*
This Role Player is in this group, I WILL not tell anyone who it is. If the role player wishes to have this topic deleted, so be it.

Maryam | 48 comments You could try telling her that you don't need help modding the group. Maybe she just thinks that she's helping.

Lynx ~ 10/1 Never Forgotten If the person leaves, she leaves. Gets rid of your headache. However, to avoid that I think you should try to get her to stop, and if she doesn't ask her what it is that is causing her the most annoyance in your group. Then find a way to fix the problem on your own, instead of making her feel like she has to "take over"

Ella (ellarosewood) | 138 comments I'm not sure...like I said I told her to stop, and that she wasn't a mod, and she got really really mad and threatened to leave, because she 'was not wanted'.

Lynx ~ 10/1 Never Forgotten Alright.... well, ask her for her opinions, then try and work with them. But tell her that she isn't a mod, and she can't try and take charge. If she tries again, you will do the honors and just remove her from the group. Try and listen to her, then try and solve the problem so she doesn't feel she needs to. But if that doesn't work and the problem continues... delete her. I mean, if the issues she's trying to fix really are major and things are flooded with spam... then you should listen to her.

Ella (ellarosewood) | 138 comments *sighs* She is one of my top role players, so I don't want to make her leave, it would throw the group into turmoil. If she wasn't a top rper, I would delete her. It's just so complicated.

I don't see what the problem is. If she wants to correct people for you, that's fine.

(Promise, it's not me, I just don't see anything wrong.)

Lynx ~ 10/1 Never Forgotten Same here, Falls. I don't see much of an issue, but at the same time I'm a bit of a control freak... so I understand. It can be annoying having someone trying to take over a little and correct people.

So.... yeah. Talk to her and ask her if there is anything that you can do to fix the problems she sees in the group. Try that and see how it comes out.

Ella (ellarosewood) | 138 comments It's not you, I promise.
It just gets annoying, that's all.

Falls solution to life:

Tell her to shut up. It's not her place. The end.

message 11: by Ella (new)

Ella (ellarosewood) | 138 comments She would definitely leave after that.

It is my personal philosophy that that's her problem, not yours. Tell her you'd be sad for her to leave, but if that's what it takes...

Be the dictator. You are a moderator, afterall.

Or you could just take me to this group and I'd be glad to take care of it for you.

It's The Animals Role Play, and she's on vacation right now.

Not really, I just don't like that she's taking the groups problems into her own hands.
