My mom just finished this one. I was scared of it but she says there's nothing to be scared of. On her recommendation I will probably read it.
Beverly, what is the difference between this thread and that entitled "What are you currently reading and why?, which is found under Chit Chat About Books. This new thread you have begun is under Recommendations. I am confused......Also the book you are reading - about forgetting everything in the morning - is also the central theme of the book The Housekeeper and the Professor which I highly recommend. don't worry about the math contnet! What is important is how the characters interact. Great book. In this book the Professor can only remember something for about 15 minutes. Every morning when the housekeeper arrives, everything has to start fresh again and again and again. The guy has little pieces of paper pinned all over himself to remember things. However it si the relationships that are the winner of the book.
Here is a link to my GR review if you are curious about the book: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
I've recently finished Before I Go to Sleep and ended up staying up very late (or very early depending how you look at it) to finish it. It was really good and built the suspense so well. Would definitely recommend it!

Berverly, go to the group page where all the threads are listed. You will find the old thread under the "Chit Chat Heading. Open that thread and add a news comment. Maybe a moderator can move these comments on your new thread to the older thread. It just seems confusing to have two threads with the same purpose.Janice, could you help us with this?!!!!!!
