This book was about a boy named Tippy who lives in Harlem, New York.He had a happy life living with his grandma Carrie. Then his grandma got sick and he had to live with his father named Lonnie.Lonnie wasn't a good father because he didn't know anything about taking care of children.Then, Tippy meets Lonnie's friends, Stone, Bubba, and Denise. They plan to steal money from a rich guy and Bubba gets shot. He gets an infection and dies. Tippy decides to tell the police that he and Lonnie's friends stole money.
