I am 35% done with the book and I'm enjoying it so far. My heart aches for Lincoln, and I'm slightly obsessed with his slow, forward crawl towards finding himself. I want his happy ending so badly! I am entertained by Jennifer and Beth and their lives, but it's Lincoln I'm most curious about.

I read a lot yesterday, and couldn't put it down until I finished it, late last night. My kids were happy when I returned it to the library today- they are not thrilled when my nose is buried in a book.
I can't stand Sam, that heart-breaker. I loved Lincoln and his growth, but it does get more interesting with the girls later in the book.

I was so glad he quit! Loved that he was finally being proactive in his life and making good decisions, recognizing that the job was unhealthy for him. I was surprised he wrote that note to Beth, and when she sat next to him in the theater- I was freaking out! The ending unfolded in the best possible way and was just one of the happiest HEAs ever.
One of my favorite scenes was when Lincoln insisted his Mom go with him to his apartment, and the whole scene inside his place. Her slow acceptance of him growing up, his newfound confidence and his ability to now tell her how he really feels and what he wants. Just loved it. I actually teared up during that scene.
And the scene with Chris (that heartless cad) and Beth at her sister's wedding and how she stayed strong afterwards and moved forwards instead of how easy it could have been not to.
I can't say enough good things about this book, thanks so much for reading it with me Caroline!

I wanted to slap Chris into tomorrow! OMG, what did he expect her to say? I was scared that Beth might back down at one point and take him back:-( I must say though I was quite surprised at how Lincolns Mum that Lincolns mum was what can I say?! I didn't expect her to be a single mum of 2 children by different fathers, She just didn't come across that type, seemed rather out of character, but maybe that explains why she doesn't want to let go of her kids?! I loved Lincolns friendship with Doris! you really get a insight to what a kind of man Lincoln is and how easily he could be to fall in love with!
Your welcome, I enjoyed our buddy read and thanks for the great rec x x
