question
Did you like the movie better than the book?

I liked the movie but I don`t think it was better than the book. I felt that the characters were better understood in the book, than in the movie. Take for instance Zero, I felt sympathy for him. Whereas in the movie,,he was forgettable.
Does anyone else enjoyed the book better than the movie?

I really enjoyed the book and movie but I honestly liked the movie better.
The movie was all right, but it doesn't even slightly compare to the book. The book was the story of a young boy's struggle to overcome his own body, his family's history, his bad luck, his bad circumstances. It is rich, it is heartbreaking, it is deep, it is complex, and it is not afraid to deal with less than comfortable topics which children usual don't get to engage with. The movie is just a quirky story about a kid with bad luck. Even though the plot is essentially the same, the way in which the story is told completely changes the experience and meaning and depth. No comparison between the two. Far and away, the book is an incredible work of literary beauty inspired by real life pains and struggles. The movie is just an entertaining movie.
I seriously didn't know there was a movie(!) Will have to go on the hunt for it now :D
BOOK!!! the book was great and i enjoyed it very much !
But the movie wasn't the way i expected and i didnt like it much. Its actually always better to read the books than watch the movie. its way different.

I read the book before seeing the movie and thought the movie makers did a good job bringing it to life.
I saw the movie first, so it was cool to envision everything in my head while I read the book
only watched the movie so can't say but the movie was great so the book was probably better!
The movie was so boring. Disappointing compared to how much I enjoyed the book.
I think of all movie - book adaptions this has to be one of the best I've seen. No way is the movie better than the book. But the movie followed an outline that the book presented, and hardly anything changed from the pages to the screen. Love them both.
Sorry to say but, the movie was Awesome! Shia labeouf fan all the way!!
The book was WAY better in my opinion... but it has been a while since I've seen the movie... and read the book.
