Sandra Lawson (thequeenofcurdsandcream) | 9 comments I suppose I should introduce myself as I've just posted a comment.

My name is Sandra Lawson, I live in London and love Irish literature. I currently can't read enough of Colm Toibin, Sebastian Barry, John Banville, and William Trevor and am busy catching up with anything by Edna O'Brien that I've missed in the past. I don't know what draws me to contemporary Irish literature, but just know I enjoy what I've read so far.

Welcome to GI, Sandra.

Unfortunately, I've only read Sebastian Barry from your list. I loved it. I rate A Long Long Way as one of all time favourites.

I hope you enjoy your time with us.

Sandra Lawson (thequeenofcurdsandcream) | 9 comments That's another one for my reading pile, but I recommend you read The Secret Scripture - it tugged at my heart strings.

I've read it an d I loved. I'll have to buy On Canaan's Side: A Novel soon. It's a must read as far as I'm concerned.
