The Golden Threshold for Amber's link."
I am, although I've about given up! Let me know if you think of something. :)
A long shot - Falling for the Rancher Father by Linda Ford?
Jenny, do you remember how old the twins were and their gender?
Did the woman live alone in town?
What did she do for a living?
Anything memorable about her past or background?
Does the cowboy have a ranch? How does he make a living?
Is it a Christian romance?
Was Christmas featured in the story?

I don't remember Christmas being a part of it, but then I never finished it.
To Wed in Texas?
Reverend Daniel McLain desperately needs help in bringing guidance and peace to the mid-19th-century Western town of Jefferson, Tex., and with twin toddlers running him ragged, he can't get focused. He appeals to his late wife's family and expects the assistance of an elderly aunt. Instead, poor family relation and spinster Karlee Whitworth arrives. Although Karlee only adds to the chaos of the household and can't even boil water, she is wonderful with Daniel's daughters, so he asks her to stay. When Daniel is blinded in a fiery accident, it is Karlee who cares for him, and when the girls' elderly aunt threatens to take them away, it's Karlee who saves the day by marrying Daniel to keep the family together. For the first time in her life, Karlee has a home--now she wants a real marriage and a real husband.

So a girl (unknown name) in her late 20s in the backwoods of 1800s America. Lives in western town. There's a cowboy that comes into town every once in a while she's always thought was cute. He was actually married, but his wife died in childbirth with twins.
He notices her - I believe his only motivation is finding someone to care for the twins. He asks her to marry him (unromantically, of course) and she says yes. They travel to his in-the-middle-of-nowhere cabin, get the babies from his neighbor who assumed they'd take care of them for a while and are surprised by the new wife.
The new wife is amazing (a bit much, actually), keeping the house clean, taking care of the babies and trying desperately to get their father to notice them.
I have read no further in the book and while I highly doubt this is going to be a top ten for me if I ever get to finish it, I'd still like to!
