John Rhodes (John_D_Rhodes) | 29 comments I have noticed, I'm clever that way (no other way mind you) that there are some people who have a masssive number of books! I have read a few but... as this is one of the larger groups, who in this group has read the most books and who on the whole of Goodread?

Brenna Lyons (BrennaLyons) | 87 comments There are people that KNOW how many books they've read? I find that inconceivable. I have shelves of books in six rooms of my house, and that's a pittance compared to what we lost in a house fire a dozen years ago or the flood twenty years ago...and the books that we no longer have that were ours as children, the children's books we've donated to the schools or charities or have given to friends with children younger than ours, the children's books that were just too destroyed to save, the ones that were lent out and never came home (some of which we've purchased multiple copies of), the books we've taken out of libraries...

Simply put, my husband and I have been avid readers all our lives. By the time I was 18, I owned close to a thousand books in my personal library and averaged twice a week trips to the library. I was given books as gifts every birthday and Christmas. Still am.

I don't know how many books I've read. I think it's impossible to calculate something like that, if you're an avid reader. My book list on Goodreads doesn't even come close to what I've actually read. Never will.

Annelie Rozeboom | 14 comments What I find amazing is that there are people who have over 4000 books to their name. Not only did they read that many (I have no idea how many I've read, a lot, but maybe not 4000) but they sat in front of their computer and clicked on 4000 books. How do you have the patience for that? After clicking on and rating about 50 of them I start to get dizzy.

Lee Holz I'm addicted to the GR master To Reed list. So as I'm working my way through all 2000 pages of it (on page 795 now) looking for new reads, I just check off the ones I've already read. I spend about 15 minutes a day doing this.
