Any Other Great Vampire Series?

Never liked vampire stories until Twilight. Is there any other series anyone would recommend for someone who LOVES Twilight but doesn't really like fangs/coffins/garlic/silver bullet type stuff. Yeah, I know silver bullets are for werewolves. LOL. I also like some of Anne Rice's stuff. TIA!

If you're looking for more vampire trash, I'd go with the Sookie Stackhouse novels (aka True Blood). I read the Twilight series first (and liked it), then I read the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. I now can't stand Twilight simply because I was exposed to something 10x better.

They're definitely "junk food for the brain" type books, but very fun. They are fangy, coffiny & definitely for adults, but it's no Underworld or Van Helsing (if that's what you meant by fangs/coffins/garlic). Give it a try, you might like it :)

Vampire Academies is a real good read. You got romance and action and intrigue. Sookie Stackhouse novels were good but not as good as Twilight's, but Vampire Academies comes in a close second.

The Sookie Stackhouse novels for sure, I like them better than Twilight, but thats because they are for adults not teens.
