What are you reading?
I read
and have decided that graphic novels really aren't my thing. But it was neat to get the background of how Mercy came to work at Zee's and meet Stephan and Adam.I just started
, but I'm not yet far enough in to have an opinion of it.
I am reading First Grave on the Right. I am on the curently fence as to whether or not I like the book.
Paula wrote: "I am reading First Grave on the Right. I am on the curently fence as to whether or not I like the book."I just read that book and I know what you mean. I didn't think I'd like it at all when I first started, but in the end I enjoyed it. Although some aspects of the story were almost depressing.
Almost done with
. Thinking about taking a break from new books and re-reading the Mercy Thompson series again after this.

No problem. I admit I was a bit confused.

"I have Street Magic on my TBR pile. I liked the author's other series and was hoping that this one would be good to.
I'm currently reading
and
. I am thoroughly engrossed in GRRM's series and I really am liking Dying Bites. It's quirky and the main character annoys me sometimes but she's likable in an odd sort of way.

So I kept reading and found that this is one of those series that has grown on me a little more with each book.

I just finished Dying Bites yesterday and I wasn't in love with it. I have heard so many good things about this series but wasn't sure if I would continue after the first one. Now I think I will stick it out and give the next book a try.

But I have a habit of getting attached to the characters and wanting to see what happens to them next, even if the writing isn't the greatest. And I do like the different take on the world population in this series.
Just finished up
short of some editing issues it's just as good as the first one and I highly reccomend it. I don't understand why these books are author aren't getting more attention. Definatley a TBR for any fans of Rachel Vincent's Shifters series! First book is
Now working on
I finished
and just adored it. It's not fast-paced and action packed, but I enjoyed the writing style and the way the story gradually unfolded.I just started
and I'm not sure I'm buying the set up for the book. I have a hard time believing that the Nightwalkers just fell apart after the tragic events at the beginning of the book.
Currently reading Industrial Magic. It's nice but it doesn't really keep my interest the way the first 2 books did.
Paula wrote: "I am reading Halfway to the Grave which I may not finish and The Space Between which I am enjoying."You know, it took me a while to get into Halfway to the Grave, too. I almost put it down about a 1/3 of the way through, and then it picked up and I did enjoy it, but I haven't raced out and bought the second one yet. Maybe someday.

I loved Grave With also. It was one of those that I just kept reading until I completed both books.I couldn't put it down. When's the next one out I wonder?

Well, I just checked - it's going to be a long wait - July, 2012!

It was enjoyable. While I look forward to reading the second book, I think I'll wait till book 3 is out and read them together.

That's a good idea:)
Just finished Frail, a somewhat ya pa zombie book. Uf too. Pretty good. Taking the zombie thing in a different direction--making things from the pov of a human among thinking talking feeling Exes or zombies. Now reading another zombie ya book, The Reapers Are the Angelsand also starting a pa uf sci fi book Way of the Wolf. I hear this is about alien vamps. Well see. Been craving a male protag so here I go.
.
I tried my best to finish
, but I couldn't. I got to page 272 and could not make myself read anymore. It was not interesting and the characters were completely flat. Next up is Eileen Wilk's story in
.
Just finished Sins of the Demon and now I'm so frustrated because I have to wait a whole year for the next one! But, I'm starting Tangled Threads. It's been a while since I've read this series - hope it doesn't take too long to get back into it.
Marsha wrote: "Just finished Sins of the Demon and now I'm so frustrated because I have to wait a whole year for the next one! But, I'm starting Tangled Threads. It's been a while..."I almost forgot about tangled Threads. Doesn't she have another in that series coming out too?
I finished
, which I thought was better than the first. I also just finished
and think this was my favorite so far. Next, I think I just might finally start

There were sections of the book that I enjoyed, but also I did a bit of skimming. Like you Marsha, I'm not rushing out to buy the 2nd book. Maybe later, after I get my to-be-read pile under control.
I'm actually really enjoying
, even though the guy is a total jerk at the beginning and the girl is a timid little mouse who just goes along with him and it's the sort of story that usually makes me roll my eyes. But there is just something about it that has sucked me in. I may have finally found another new favorite PNR series.

Hi Christine!I think the story in the On the Prowl anthology is different from her World of the Lupi stories. It's been awhile since I read it, but I remember looking for more at the time and, while I find the Lupi stories, I didn't find any set in that world.

Sorry. I haven't actually read the story in On the Prowl, so I just assumed it had to do with her Lupi series. And I thought I've seen it listed on her website as part of the series. Is it maybe a spin-off but with different characters?
