And I still have the Alex Verus series to read to tide me over. I hope to start
this month.
I finished
and
which are middle grade books, but to me had stupid premises. Today I finished
which is a pleasant Tenth Doctor (David Tennant)and Martha in the Wild West.Have started the ARC
.

I'll be curious to hear what you think of Beautiful Disaster. I tried to read it, but just couldn't get into it. Right now, I'm reading

I finally finished
and have moved on to
so I can cross another series off of my list. It's a good enough series, but it just doesn't have that keep me on the edge of my seat quality that keeps me awake and reading. Instead, I find myself falling asleep after about 15 pages, even though I am interested in the story.

i,ve just got into Elven Blood (Imp Book 3) Debra Dunbar, which is the third in a series of about 6 books. these are a really good read primarily about a demon living as a human. there are elves, demons, and angels so alot of lol moments. a little different to the usual UF read.
I just pre-ordered Elizabeth Hunter's second book in the Irin Chronicles, The Singer! The first book, The Scribe is amazing!
Just finished White Hot Kiss by J. Armentrout and just started reading The Darkest Night by G. Showalter.
Has anyone else read
and could you explain to me what just happened? I was with him up until about the last thirty pages, and then he lost me. Maybe I'm just being dense this week, but I feel like I missed something. I feel very unsatisfied right now.I think I might start
next.
Christine wrote: "Has anyone else read

I read somewhere on a message board that the author was going for a king Arthur kind of retelling and he has gone to that island to heal and be reborn sometime or something like that. I loved the series and then that ending just sucked for me lol.
Susan wrote: "Christine wrote: "Has anyone else read

And I didn't quite get what happened to Boston and everyone there. Does life just go on like before? Was anything changed? And that bit with Maeve at the end (view spoiler)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
I'm reading
and can I say how much I detest plot lines where old lovers or ex-spouses reenter the scene and try to manipulate everyone and undermine the new love? The only saving grace is that I like how maturely Mercy is handling the situation.
Today I finished Short Trips: Time Signature which was so-so and the play I'm going to be rehearsing next month, which is fun, "That's the Spirit" by Tim Kelley which isn't in GR's database. So I can memorize my lines, I'm going to cut way back on my reading. I plan on reading The Goldfinch
at bedtime, only.
finished Tempting Danger now working my way through The Name of the Wind and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Susan wrote: "Christine wrote: "Has anyone else read

So, I Read This Book Today wrote: "Susan wrote: "Christine wrote: "Has anyone else read

I think so. It's been over two years since book 6 came out and I haven't heard anything about another book. And it felt like the final book with the way it wrapped up most of the threads of the series.
Chakara wrote: "finished Tempting Danger now working my way through The Name of the Wind and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"I love the Eileen Wilks series. The interactions between Lily and Rule make the series for me and I adore Lily's grandmother.
I've started
, because I will finally finish this series this year. As "assassins" go I prefer Gin Blanco to Sabina, but I love Sabina's supporting cast of characters. On audio, I'm giving
a try.
Christine wrote: "So, I Read This Book Today wrote: "Susan wrote: "Christine wrote: "Has anyone else read

I am nearing the end of
. At first I thought it might wind up being just John Taylor in another iteration, but as I have gotten into it Eddie Drood has his own persona, though some of the characters made me say in my head, "Oh, yes, this is so-and-so character from the Nightside." Start here if you haven't tried the John Taylor stories:
Ah well, it is still a lot of fun, excitement, magic, and mystery, with an evil grandmother, an obsessive and a family obsessed, xenophobic clan. Overall? If you love Dresden or Nightside, I will be recommending it in my review...
With my new work schedule, my reading has really suffered. I just finished The Handmaid's Tale
and plan on starting a re-read of This Side of the Grave
.
After listening to
I realized I am clearly not in THAT much of a PNR mood, so I'm going to check out this change of format in
and see how I like it compared to the first three in the series. And I'm almost done with
and I am really glad there is only one more book left to go in this series.
I finished
and I have to say I am really not a fan of Sabina. But with only one more book in the series, I just know I'll have to finish it.
was pretty good. I liked the change in tactic he took with how the story unfolded, but it just wasn't as interesting as the last two were for me. Now I've been reading/listening to some PNR. Loving Immortals After DArk series by Kresley Cole and slowly getting into Lords of the Underword by Gena Showalter. So far, I hands down prefer IAD. But both are worlds above my current listen
which is almost painful at times. What was I thinking? She works for three were-bears and her name is Goldie Locke. Really?
Mitabird reviews at BookLikes wrote: "I'm going to start re-reading One Grave at a Time

and can highly recommend it.
I'm listening to
and having a great time. The writing may not be the greatest, but the story is just plain fun, especially if you're a fan of Star Trek TOS. Bonus, it's narrated by Wil Wheaton, which just makes it even more fun.
Freebie! Just started this one - an awesome shifter romance (it's a new series): http://www.amazon.com/Shapeshifter-We...
I'm working through Kresley Coles IAD and have not been disappointed! They keep getting better and better plus the mix of characters in The Lore is crazy fun. I'm just finished Dark Desires After Dusk and loved it!

I finished listening to
. Yeah, it's not exactly a new idea and honestly I don't care all that much for his writing style, but the book was just fun. Pure geeky entertainment. Also finished
and I have really mixed feelings about this one. There were some things in it that I really loved and some other things that made me roll my eyes. I think it's the author's first book (maybe?) so I'm looking forward to seeing how her writing evolves as the series continues.I'm finally in the mood for Kitty again, so next up in print is

I thought it was a good book as well. The world building wasn't my favorite, but it was very unique. What I liked was the main character and the tone of the novel.

Just started this in E-Galley Review copy. I recommend putting it on your list so far - will let you know if I continue liking it as much as I am 30% through...OK Here is my review... tell me what you think. Does it sound like something you would enjoy? I am trying to get more attention to my blog, but it seems like a slow slog.... (sheepish grin)

I really didn't care for the writing I found it to be very amateur like. Plus pages were missing from my EBOOK yea Idk how that happened but I am not a happy customer.
Chakara wrote: Any time you have pages missing, try re-downloads. It can make a difference. Sometimes a download "hiccups" and you get bits and pieces. First, remove it from your device, then try again. If that doesn't work for you, contact the company you got it from (amazon, bn, etc) and let them know. They will replace it free of charge.
Chakara wrote ... Plus pages were missing from my EBOOK yea Idk how that happened but I am not a happy customer. I got a book, it was a book of short stories and involved two short stories that I bought from Science Fiction Book Club and forty pages from the beginning were repeated in the middle. I contacted SFBC and they sent me another copy.
I just finished yesterday
, I'm also reading
, today I finished
, it was okay, but Chaim Potok wrote about similar people, better.

I think you had me at 'archeological thriller' since that's what I studied in school ... well, not the thriller part. My experience was a lot more hot, dusty, tedious, and entirely lacking in supernatural associates. lolAnyway, complex world building, well crafted and original mythologies, and interesting characters are exactly what I look for in a new series. It's definitely on my list of things to read now. Thanks for sharing the review!
Elizabeth wrote: "I think you had me at 'archeological thriller' since that's what I studied in school ... well, not the thriller part. My experience was a lot more hot, dusty, tedious, and entirely lacking in super..."Some of the reviewers complained because there was 'too much archeology' (?!?!)
She DOES talk about the "Hot, dusty, tedious" part, LOL. When this starts she is doing mindless grunt work cataloging site pieces. It is pretty interesting stuff, and I like action, so I was all over it.
