What are you reading?

I enjoy this series, although after each book I usually feel like I've just watched an action movie rather than read a book. But they're a fun change of pace for me. The end of the most recent was a killer cliffhanger though.

That is good to know. I am actually listening to the audio of this one. I think that if I had the book I would have given up. If I keep reading the series I will go the audio route for them.

Ditto"
I just finished it. A satisfying ending to a fun series.

Also tried

I caved in and read the first Fever book due to all the hype. It was okay, not amazing but interesting enough though Mac annoys me. I'm considering reading book 2 but it's been awhile since I read the first one so the thought of having to go through it again to refresh my memory is putting me off. >_>

You could probably go through the reviews for

Aah, Fever. I didn't really even like the first book, but since I had already bought book two (I bought it first by accident) I kept reading. Mac does eventually grow up over the course of the series and I will admit I was temporarily sucked in by my need to find out what Barron's is. I read all five books in about two weeks. I'm glad I read it and overall enjoyed it, but I just don't get the hype. There were too many things that annoyed me. I'd take Kate Daniels or Mercy Thompson over Fever any day.

I brought Ignition because it was advertized here that it was free and the brief description made it sound like it would be interesting but I was wrong. The plot if you call it that didn't start until I was 60% into the book and even at the end nothing was solved.

I have that book in library tbr tower.

I wasn't particularly fond of the Sabina Kane series either. I think I read the first couple, but have never been overly motivated to finish the series

@ Christine; Indeed. I def like Kate Daniels & Mercy Thompson better.

Reading

Hawke/Sienna fans would rejoice.
On the other hand, I find this book a little distracting due to so many different POVs. Or maybe it's because I read book 1-10 in a row months and the time lapse between is disconcerting.

I think another issue is that she seems to be throwing in several new characters and giving bigger roles to characters that were just background in previous books. While there's plenty of Hawke and Sienna, and even some Riley and Indigo, there are many more characters that I don't really know.
I'm still thoroughly enjoying it, but I want to know who the Ghost is!

I haven't read A Discovery of Witches, but I loved The Night Circus.

I just started

I'm almost done with the first book and I've really enjoyed it. It's pretty standard PNR, but I like the main characters and it's been a fun read. So far, I like it better than her Demonica series.

May be time for me to go back and try the Fever series again. No idea what to read anymore. >_>

Thanks, Christine! I'll check it out.

Wasn't that first chapter just creepy? I love how she creates images in my head.

After that I have planned to read Feast of Fools (I think thats the next one),The Knife of Never Letting Go,The Birth of Venusand one more book I cant remember right now.

this is a great series - out there but hilarious!

That sounds good! *skulking around for new series*

I agree. Sometimes I don't know what to read and I pick up something that's not really what I'm in the mood to read and it taints it a little. I liked the Fever series, but it was one of the first series I started to read when I discovered uf/fantasy/paranormal fiction.
