Just finished The Restorer and I really enjoyed it. Now I think I'm going to start First Grave on the Right.

Does book 3 end with a cliffhanger? Seeing that the release date for 4 is in 2013, I'm a little reluctant to continue reading. I hate waiting. *is a very impatient person* Dx

No real cliff-hanger. I'd say book 3 ends on a very satisfying note. Nothing is left hanging other than the bigger issues that will probably thread through the series. Stuff like when will Charlie figure out what she's capable of and just how powerful she is? Will she end up with Reyes?

Like you said, it wrapped up the story for that particular volume nicely.
It left me really interested to know what happens down the road,I guess I'll have to wait a year to find out...
I finally finished
and unfortunately, I didn't like it. Sabina and Adam got on my nerves, plus there were ot her things that bugged me.
is next.

Just started Skinwalker - It is interesting so far (up to pg32), I found 1-3 at a used bookstore (score!) I just hope I like them :)
I've just started reading
finally. It seems like everyone else in the world has already read it. I actually woke my husband up last night when I was reading and yelled out "OH MY GOD!" and I was only 50 pages in, so that's always a good start :)

Reading
. I like the over all story, but still not REALLY enjoying the overload of sarcasm. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the witty, well-placed, snarky comment, but this entire thing is written that way and it's almost too much. Hoping it will grow on me.
Christine wrote: "I am LOVING (yes, I'm using shouty caps)

Ok, that seals it,
is now officially next on my reading list. I've always wondered what all the fuss was about, now I'll find out...

Charlie was really starting to get on my nerves in the first part of this book, but then I realized the sarcasm and joking was all a just a front she puts on and a way of keeping people at a distance so they can't hurt her. But, I think the author does a better job in the next two books of toning is down just a bit so it's not quite as distracting from the story. That or I just got used to it. But I loved books two and three.

I'm doing a book-a-month buddy read in another group, at which rate it's going to take forever to read this series. But at least it makes sure I get back to it each month. I've listened to #1 and #3 on audio (after reading them) and I LOVE Susan Erickson. She does such a good job making each voice distinctive.
Christine wrote: "I LOVE Susan Erickson. She does such a good job making each voice distinctive."She is a great narrator! Although I recently was listening to another set of books and she was reading them and it was weird at first. I kept thinking, no what is Eve doing in this book. lol

Jean, I was on amazon today trying to decide whether or not to buy 'Daughter of Smoke and Bone'. I'm half way through 'Blackbringer' and I love the writing and story.

was actually my favorite book of 2011 if that helps you any. There is a pretty big cliffhanger at the end, so you might want to read it closer to the release of
. It's a planned trilogy, so there might be another cliffhanger in the next one...Glad to hear you like Blackbringer so far. : )

I am so glad you mentioned the cliffhanger ending. I've been thinking about reading this one, but now I know I better wait at least until the second one it out.

September...at least that's much nearer than Charley Davidson #4's 2013 release. xD
Sometimes I really want to kick myself for diving into a series too early..so much waiting! Then again, the anticipation is sweet.
Just finished
. It was fairly easy to ease into, not too much information overload. But I think I probably like
(read the day before) more.
I'm about 60 pages into
and I'm just not as entertained as I was by the rest of the series. So far it kind of feels like one of those reunion/flashback TV episodes where they bring back a bunch of old characters and relive moments from past seasons. But, now that the Sun King has been introduced, maybe it will pick up.
I'm reading
, the second Mercy Thompson. I know a lot of people who LOVE this series, including my husband... so far I just think it's alright. I'm reading it, I'm entertained, but I could just as easily read something else, which feels like a big let down.
I was kind of disappointed in
. It just didn't seem to have the same gruesome charm as the rest of the series, and Suzie Shooter didn't show up until about the last six pages. Still, it was a decent wrap up to the series. Now, from John Taylor to Harry Dresden in
. I'm betting this one does not disappoint.
I just started City of Bones by Cassandra Claire. Up to now, it is just the kind of book I was in the mood to read.
