1) Mark^Perry: "an American author specializing in military, intelligence and foreign affairs analysis" http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/... (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Per...)
2) Mark^^Perry: musician/music writer http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/... (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Per...)
But I think I've hit a bit of a wall with the rest: http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
I feel like one is the Baha'i activist, and there may be one educator and another Christian writer?

Crown (publisher sometimes claims author credit)
Simon (I know the legit SNA well)
Smith (Is there a legit SNA for this one?)
EDIT: Simon is now clean, and updated on Amazon as well.

Willaful,
The first one is the right one. The second one is just there.

Got it. You know, you can combine two versions of an author and move ALL their books over at once by just editing one author (on the author page) to match the other, saving, and choosing.

Definitely needs work. Ordering of series, names of series, languages, etc.

Edited to add -- all added. :-)
Because the series is already quite long and unwieldy, I haven't added the many, many omnibus editions. Does anyone feel strongly that they should be added?

Another one with languages and I think there's been a mix up because she's listed as writing a manual and a science textbook.

One I found: http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

Oh, I think that is the new NOT A BOOK.

Jin Yong: http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
and Louis Cha: http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
"Jin Yong" is his pen name, which he uses almost every time, but "Louis Cha" (his actual name) appears on certain English versions of his publications, rather than his pen name. Hence both are accurate, but don't need 2 separate people pages. ^_^
The other tricky thing is: Is there a way to indicate to a person who is editing the author field or creating a new book, that they are supposed to use a certain version of his name on GR? (so like, if the GR name we use is "Jin Yong", when someone enters "Louis Cha" into author field is there a prompt or something to say "use 'Jin Yong' --- the way it prompts/lists for when people enter titles?)
And how do we make sure that people who SEARCH for one name gets directed to the same/GR name? (sorta similar to the above outlined issue, but in the search engine, rather than the book data entry field...)
Thanks!

(And OT, but I've been meaning to read Demigods and Semidevils forever!)

Got it.
Got it.

Amazon's description of her is only about Creative Writing, no Medieval or Islamic stuff. But I'm not sure how to figure it out for sure or prove it. Suggestions?

Dunno about the possible third one though. When in doubt, I would just leave a "various" note on the "extra" books left over.

I think there may be actual works by Disney and it's not accurate to have everything associated with the company under his name. Much though he might have liked it. ;-)
WorldCat has the author listed for some of the movie adaptations, but not all.

I'm not sure if the '"Single-name" authors' thread is still active (since the last update is almost two years old), but here is a new author to consider:
